NOTICE
If anyone happens to run across my profile and read this, I hope you enjoy. If you notice that I am not signed up for any swaps it is because I am too busy for the next month and a half to take on swaps. I have end of the semester exams and papers to write, I am going out to Nevada for 2 weeks to collect rock samples for my research, then I am going home for 2 more weeks for...MY WEDDING!!! Woot woot. Therefore, I cannot swap until mid-June. :( So sad. But good for you, b/c this way there is no way I can flake on you. :)
PS. I will send out the ones I am currently in though...just no new ones.
Me?
My name is Lindy and I do not like ham.
I am 24 years old and I grew up on a dairy farm in Michigan. Currently I am in Nashville going to grad school for my Master's in geology. I am also super excited to be getting married in June!!! I am planning a fairy themed wedding, and am loving finding all the little details.
I run to get where I am going faster.
Some personal information? I am not a formal person, and there is not a lot I don't like to talk about. I often bring up inappropriate conversation while eating. I try not to do that, but sometimes it just happens. I also love funny pictures and videos of cats, and cats in general. The funniest thing in the world is when a cat does something to look stupid, because cats hate looking stupid. Oh, and I am a Christian. I do not evangelize or go to church though. I just don't agree with mainstream Christians at all. I find equal amounts of discrimination from scientists for me being a Christian and from Christians for me being a scientist. I am disappointed in Christians for discouraging me from being a geologist because God created science and he created me loving science, and by telling me not to be a scientist they are judging me, which God does not like. There that is my rant and my personal side.
My dream job would be to lead outdoor hiking adventures, or to be a camera person for National Geographic.
My hobbies include painting, crafts, reading, dancing, hiking/camping and going to bars.
My hobbies do not include watching TV, UNLESS it is bad reality TV, if I'm going to do it, I'm going to go all out.
I love to read and collect books...I usually read fantasy, but am starting to become interested in historical fiction of the world (not American history).
My favorite books are Jane Eyre, The Secret Garden, The Historian, Rudyard Kipling (The Jungle Book and Just So Stories), The Lord of the Rings, and the Wheel of Time series. I love fantasy books full of magic, princesses, and dragons.
Colors: Green, Brown, Pink
Foods: Tacos, Raspberries, Sugar Peas, and of course, Chocolate
Months: May, April, August, and October
Geologic Process: Volcanoes, Supervolcanoes, pyroclastic flows, supernovas, the evolution of Earth (from the very first second when the original sun supernovaed to the present) and mineral formation
Things I like and may need:
RECIPES! I love cooking, especially ethnic and traditional foods.
Books (reading)
ephemera for my journaling and collages
art and fine art
mushrooms
stamps for stamping not mailing. Especially ones with words or quotes
pear art
ATC's
asking questions and answering questions
learning, so things that teach me

good ideas
Dragons, Fairies, Princesses, magic swords

Anything unique and different
EARRINGS! I love earrings of all kinds, long or short or shiny
Pirates

Pirate jokes
anything that evokes the imagination
I love crafts and am willing to try anything once!
I am really into journaling and artbooks. I love to make my own journals I think. I am just starting to work on my first one now...but I love to think about it and read books on how to. I would love tips on book binding or websites to go to to learn about it.
I also paint and sketch a little. I believe that everyone is an artist, a person just needs to get over their fear of their work not being art or "good". I love to find art occurring naturally in nature....I suppose if I had a camera with me all the time I would be a photographer too!
My ultimate craft though is cross stitching. It's very soothing.
Bluegrass, Techno, Classic rock, rock, Indie, System of a Down, Gorillaz, what my fiance calls "stoner rap" (as in Del the Funky Homosapian, and Deltron 3030), eclectic music and music from other countries. The stranger and farther away from main stream american idol pop music the better. Though, I do love the song "My Humps" by the Black Eyed Peas. I also like Trucking Songs and Johny Cash.
I do not like popular country music or Christian music or death metal. Other metal is fine though. It just sounds like demons coming out of the radio for me when I listen to death metal and that scares me a little bit.
Disney characters or Loony Toon or Winni the Poo things
Ham
Dolphin things
aliens
Purple, teal, and magenta together, and separate too
Bath and Body works
Wal-Mart
Healthy people who ride the elevator for only one floor

hello I was reading your profile and thought I would mention a great fantasy series to read. The author is Stephen R. Donaldson. The series is The chronicles of Thomas Covent unbeliever, white gold wielder. The first six books were written in the 80s and he just picked up his pen again to start another four books. Hugs Dawny
