I am a mainframe programmer for an electronic payments processor. At 46 I find myself single with no children. I do however, have 2 cats that were rescued from inside a fire truck when they were 3 weeks old so they are my babies. I am very involved in my church and have a heart for children. I currently teach the 2 year old class but have taught everything from cradleroll to kindergarten.
Even though I've been programming for more than 20 years, I am not a techie kind of person. I just got my first cell phone this past December (it was a present for a friend that likes to text).
I like hockey, we have a minor league team here. I also like the symphony, and going to the theater here.
I love music. I listen to a Christian Rock station. My favorite artists are currently, Thousand Foot Krutch, Toby Mac, Switch foot, Skillet and Fly Leaf. My all time favorite group, however is The Manhattan Transfer (kinda took a left trun there didn't I?)
I read A LOT! My favorite authors are Anglea Hunt, Ted Dekker, Charles Martin, Dee Henderson and Francine Rivers to name a few.
For crafting, I love ribbonry (making flowers out of ribbon), paper crafting (all kinds), needle tatting, painting (on objects, not pictures), and am currently trying my hand at Zentangles (which I am absolutely addicted to). I love to teach any craft I know to others. I've also taught myself a specific craft just so I could teach a class (like needle tatting).
I am all about color. While my favorite color is purple, I like any color in the spectrum, as long as it is bright or has a lot of contrast. The more the merrier, I say.
