I'm a 35 year old freelance graphic designer and artist. I live in a house with my husband of 5+ years who is an awesome inspiration. I'm also a mother of boy/girl twins who turned 1 in Jan '10. I like to hang out with friends, read, do crafts in my basement studio, tinker in my Etsy online shop, travel, cook new things and meet new people. I also walk and do yoga for fitness and enjoy walking my Rottweiler Zeus, going to the beach in summer, fishing and relaxing! I LOVE getting surprises in the mail. I have a very special interest in recycled materials, vintage items, Asian/Indian/African/South American or any other ethnic crafts & art/styles from all over the world, and from different time periods. I'm very eclectic!

I love a wide variety of music. I can listen to anything from 80's pop, freestyle, hip hop, club music, pop, alternative, rock, classical, new age/meditative and many other kinds. I have a new interest in relaxing sounds, chants, yoga-type music. I DO NOT like hardcore metal, gangster/hard rap, or any country music.

I've been reading mostly informative books about health/well-being/relaxation/healthy lifestyle and nutrition. I like fiction too - many different topics interest me. I also enjoy books that challenge the conventional ideas, look at things skeptically and make you THINK. I read health & nutrition magazines, home decorating magazines, craft magazines, National Geographic, Time & Newsweek sometimes, Smithsonian....

I have so many ideas and dabble in a variety of creative outlets. I love drawing, painting, crochet, collage, card-making and many other things. I've recently begun using recycled materials in my work, and also enjoy finding and selling unique quirky vintage items and supplies. Please visit my Etsy shop to get a feel for my style.

Some shows I enjoy are True Blood, Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Big Love, Gray's Anatomy, Private Practice, Family Guy, The Office, Law & Order SVU, CSI NY & Miami, Medium and more.

Haven't been to the movies in forever. Some favorites are Crash, Forrest Gump, Love Actually, Bridget Jones' Diary, Hotel Rwanda, The Namesake, Wizard of Oz, Ferris Beuller's Day Off, Better Off Dead...

I LOVE: ... vintage images, photos, art, items, ads, etc. ... anything Asian, especially Japanese printed fabrics/patterns/paper, anything kimonos, geisha, sushi or cherry blossoms. ... items and ideas that are India-inspired like Bollywood-look items, saris. ... Hawaiian-themed things like hibiscus, aloha, hula girls, pineapples ... beach/ocean/sea/underwater/reef ... ethnically-inspired words/images/interesting or unique items ... anything with a twins-theme ... humor and irony, sarcasm, wit, corny humor, puns ... animals: DOGS (big ones I love most!), birds, sea animals (fish, starfish, seahorses, whales, dolphins), BUNNIES, elephants, animals doing weird or unusual things ... paper! patterns, textures, images... i have a paper fetish ... interesting stickers/stamps/postcards from other countries/vintage ones ...YARN! (unique/vintage/interesting/recycled)
