I’m brand new here as of March 5, 2020! I’d never heard of Swap-Bot, wow, what have I been missing?!
I’m hoping for a nice, new experience - a reason to go to my little studio, built in an extra closet, and make stuff.
I enjoy paper arts, I have had hundreds of rubber stamps for years, hauled them with me through too many moves to list, and I have 20+ year old ink pads that still work! Recently, I’ve been inspired to start creating some cards again, I’ve actually completed a few! I’ve got lots of paper I’ve bought, because I loved the color or the pattern and dreamt of making something with it one day, maybe I will now.
I’ve made things with air-dry clay, I know how to knit and crochet, but haven’t done it for years, I have lots of paints, shrink plastic, coloring books and pens, from Sharpie to Tombow. Oh, also glues, and I am going to try my hand at cold porcelain, because I discovered that on Pinterest and it looks interesting.
I love to bead as well, my favorite is with tiny Delica beads, I love beading earrings from patterns that I’ve purchased or by watching the many You Tube video how-tos out there, I’m pretty proud of some of my completed projects. Etsy is great for buying patterns for gorgeous beaded bracelets too! I love looking through Pinterest at what creative people do, it’s amazing to me, and I feel very strongly that it’s important to “feed” this part of us.
I’m not easily offended by art, but I guess I’d rather not receive anything with graphic nudity or violence, just putting that out there, quirky, unusual, and off the wall are great!
