I will be taking a hiatus from swapping until after Christmas some time. I am very involved in my community right now and swapping has taken a back seat. I will send out my last swap (Russian Nesting Doll #9) and that will be it for me for a while. I hope you all have a blessed Christmas.
I am 36 years old and work with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. I am married to a wonderful man. We have a cat. I live in Massachusetts, USA.
I love traveling, photography, being crafty, and swapping postcard, stickers, fridge magnets, sweets, etc. I have been to Greece, Turkey, India (2x) and England (4x). As well as several places here in the USA. My favorite animal is the panda. But I love peacocks and owls (the colorful ones, not the real ones). My favorite colors are pink, teal, and yellow. I absolutely adore the Moomins. I have never seen the cartoon but I just think they are so cute. I also love Winnie the Pooh, Krtek, and the Russian version of Winnie the Pooh. I love Matryoshka dolls. I have a lot of postcards with them on them. And of course I love Hello Kitty! Who doesn't?!
I always have to be busy doing something, I love to read. Sometimes I just putt around the house doing whatever. I love make up and I have quite a collection. I have been watching youtube make up tutorials for about 5 years now.
My husband and I love to be outside so we go on very long walks around our city. Some people think we're crazy but we just like to keep active.
I can't think of anything else right now. I look forward to swapping with you!
I love to read and I have lots of favorite books. Of course I love "To Kill a Mockingbird"; Anything written by Dean Koontz; "The Twilight Saga"; "The Count of Monte Cristo"; "The Hunger Games" trilogy; anything written by Charlaine Harris.
I have read so many books I can't think of my favorites :)

I would like to swap mainly postcards, ATC's and stickers. I prefer to swap internationally because I think it offers more of a variety of things. I am not against swapping domestically if its for something different that I am not able to get myself.
I would also like to swap fridge magnets, sweets, and pens (souvenir pens).
I have been swapping postcards and other things for about 1 year now. I have never had a complaint. I live in the US and our postal system is not perfect so if for some reason something did get lost I would absolutely replace it. But please give it a reasonable amount of time.
RATING: I check my post office box 3x per week. I rate as soon as I receive something.
***IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH SOMETHING I SENT YOU, PLEASE LET ME KNOW BEFORE YOU GIVE ME A BAD RATING. I WILL RE-SEND**** Thanks!!
Recently I have been doing a lot of stamping and coloring using alcohol markers. I enjoy it a lot. But I have done many other types of crafts throughout the years.
I send a lot of postcards and most people ask for them in an envelope so I started making my own envelopes.
I am just venturing into the world of kawaii. I have swapped some postcards before but I would really like to swap stickers. I love bright colors, rainbows, cupcakes, (no poo please), Panda, animals, French theme, London/England/British,
Some themes that I love:
Eiffel Tower; Panda; Bright colors; kawaii ([no poo], bears, french, floral cupcakes, rainbows, animals, bright colors are all OK.); cupcakes; butterflies; recipe postcards; bright colorful owls; hearts and heart shaped things; Moomin; Krtek; London; old bridges; doors; Anything with hearts or heart shaped; Matryoshka dolls; Winnie the Pooh; Union Jack (The British Flag); London; Tower Bridge; Big Ben; tea pots, tea cups; I LOVE snails; turtles; mushrooms
I love socks, the more colorful the better (US Size 9-11); stickers, bold pens or pigment ink pens, water color pencils
I DO NOT like tourist postcards. I have loads of them.
I DO NOT like anything with nudity on it.
One of the things that I particularly dislike is when I spend hours and sometimes days on a particular swap (especially ATC's or anything with a crafting aspect) and then when I am rated I don't even get a "thank you". I always thank people. Its just polite. I don't need a heart if you don't want to give me one, that's fine. But a little consideration goes a long way.
Recently, I started making ATC's and participating in swaps. And in reading some profiles it occurred to me that some people might think I just glue things together with no thought. So I thought I would put a little note about my process. I don't always draw my ATC's because I can't draw LOL I use rubber stamps a lot and markers. And I also use paper or other media/embellishments that need to be glued. But believe me, I put a lot of thought into my cards. Some of them are even riddles. And most of them take 1-2 days for me to make. So if you ever receive an ATC from me please know that it was made with lots of TLC and a lot of thought went into making it. Thanks for reading!
Over the past year or so, thanks to my local friendly postal workers, I have learned a lot of things about postage.
USA ONLY:
1) If the envelope is not completely flat (letter or card) there is extra postage for handling. Especially if there is something in the envelope. The extra postage is for hand sorting. This way it doesn't go through the machine and get ruined/lost. I don't want to say what I think the postage is because I can't guarantee it but its not much more than first class when shipping with the US. Its approx. $1 more when shipping int'l.
2) When in doubt, bring it to the post office. I would much rather take the extra time to bring something to the post office than have it get lost or damaged.
3) I see people writing "Hand post" on their envelope but they don't put extra postage. If something is "non-machineable" then it requires extra postage.
