I've been married since 1985 to the same sweet guy. We have one daughter, Katie, who is married and out on her own. We have a great son-in-law. Together, they have given us one adorable, spoiled little granddaughter who is the light of our lives.

I am a middle school teacher by profession, currently finishing year #27. I'm hoping to retire in the next few years, but I don't know what I will do with my time once I do.

My hobbies and interests include reading, writing, and quilting. I'm newly back into writing letters after taking a long busy life break and am looking forward to getting to know people from other places.

I have very eclectic tastes in music! I love classic rock, older country, most older pop. I love songs with words so that I can sing along (although I probably shouldn't!).

I don't know if I can name a favorite! I've probably read a semi-trailer full of books during my lifetime because I am such an avid reader. The only genre I've found that I really don't love is Sci-Fi, and one of my favorites is Young Adult. I am a HUGE reader . . . I've read 85 books this year!

I'm not a big movie watcher because I like to be busy doing things, but I did enjoy (and continue to enjoy): Pretty Woman Sweet Home Alabama Murphy's Romance John Wayne movies

Big Bang Theory was a big hit around this house and we still watch it in reruns. I'm not big on foul language in movies, so that turns me off a lot of the current ones.

I'm an avid postcard collector and I am currently working on one from each state. So far, I have not made much progress, but the process is fun.

I love stickers and washi tape and sending pretty mail. I have absolutely no artistic talent. The extent of my art ability is a stick man and even they look funny. (It is pretty hard to mess those up!)
