All about Kate.
Favourite Colour: Purple. Least Favourite: Black.
Farmers Wife Fabrics: 30's, but I also love 1800s reproduction, brights, rainbows and novelty fabric.
Favourite Holiday: Christmas, or any day at Disney.
My Family: husband of 21 years and two daughters (nearly) 15 and 11.
I live in Canberra, Australia, now, but previously we have lived in Darwin, Sydney, near Melbourne, Canberra, and in Leavenworth, Kansas and Monterey, California.
I work fulltime in HR for Navy, specialising in workforce planning. This year I got to spend some time on some cool new ships.
I collect Christmas ornaments, they tell a precious story of the places we have been and the people we have met.
My husband says I'm not very good at finishing my craft items. He may have a point, but I do work well with deadlines, so swaps are fine!
Not too fussy, but kind of glad my girls don't follow the boy bands.
I'm missing the Christmas music only radio station that I've had for the last two years, apparently that isn't a thing here. We have lots of Christmas music, but those playlists haven't been transferred since we switched everything to Apple.
Trashy romance novels. It's my non-secret vice.
I also seem to attract and retain craft magazines and books, and cookbooks. You are not actually supposed to do anything with them except read them are you?
As I couldn't choose a favourite, maybe I have tried too many, lets go with patchwork, cross stitch and heirloom sewing.
Selected WIP: ** The Farmers Wife 1930s quilt of course ** Heirloom Stitchers Sampler by The Victoria Sampler, I want to visit Canada and go to their shop! ** The original FW book may have sneaked into my shopping cart ** Fairyland by Natalie Bird, started when the 11 year old still liked fairies a lot ** How Will You Get There? started even longer ago for the 14 year old, maybe all hand applique was not a good idea
