Color:It's gotta be red. I drive a 1996 Miata - RED of course!
Anything Texas, Ragtime Piano (I play a 1906 Arts N Crafts upright made in Chicago), Rock n Roll, Rolling Stones, the Beatles and OLD R&B. Twine Time on Saturday nites on KUTX.org...
Quilting of course... see my facebook page for some examples: www.karenquiltslife.blogspot.com is my website. I love vintage sewing machines, especially Singer, and have a 201 hand crank, 15-31 Taylors machine from 1927, and a 1913 Singer model 15 Treadle. I love traditional AND modern techniques, hand and machine work. I love it ALL!
An old geek, I loved Tolkein, and read them all in High school in the '70's. Sci Fi and Fantasy (Barbara McCaffrey!), and love Garrison Keillor and Billy Collins...
No longer a big TV or Movie watcher... buy quilting. But love CBS Sunday Morning... spent 27 years in the Cable Television and Telecom business as a "Mad woman"... during those go-go 80's and 90's.... now I sell sewing machines for SVP Worldwide for a living - you never know where life will lead you - ENJOY THE RIDE!
My nest is empty, but no. 1 son lives just a short cycle ride (a true millennial... he does not drive!). I live with "my guys". Dad (age 87) had to move in with use two years ago. DH, a serious cook, car guy, and outdoor dude, and Buddy the wonder dog, and Finn the cat .... so it's me and the guys! I have a small "gal cave" where my sewing work is done, they know when they hear the machine running, it's time to leave me to my quilting! I've really been enjoying the Farmer's Wife block sew a long. A great way to practice and improve piecing skills.
