I'm a tea fueled, Vespa riding, embroidery junkie!
I love all sorts of embroidery, and there's never enough time to do all that I want to try. My love of embroidery ranges from pretty, light & bright to dark & snarky, and everywhere in between. I have a wicked sense of humor and I know how to take a joke. I'm also sort of new to sewing and have just recently dipped my toes in the waters of quilting.
I like fresh and funky twists on old fashion habits, like tea and needlework. Who says gramma's habits have to be gramma-ish??
I live in Lodi, California. I'm married to one heck of a cool (and endlessly patient) guy, we have four furry kids. Two overly loved, overly spoiled dogs, and two overly demanding kitty-cats.
Life is what you make of it, so I'm making mine gooood! How bout you?

When I don't have a needle, hoop and thread in my hand, I've probably got my nose in a book... I love to read. It's hard to say what kind of books I like best, but what I've got it narrowed down to is that I like great "stories". I don't care for biographies, or political stuff, I think it's boring... I don't watch a lot of TV, so reading is my entertainment. Here are a few of my favorites...
Harry Potter (all of them - I'm an unabashed Potter fan!!)
The Lord of The Rings
The Spellman Files
The 13th Tale
Water For Elephants
My Sisters Keeper
Night
Bloodsucking Fiends
Twilght
Neverwhere
...or anything by Tom Robbins, Sophie Kinsella or Shel Silverstein.
Again with the Harry Potter series. Each one has been better than the last... can't wait for the final two! Also loved the LOTR series.
I'm a child of the 80's some of my favorites are... The Goonies (my all time favorite!)
Mask
Stand By Me
Lost Boys
Never Ending Story
E.T.
Nadia
Anne of Green Gables
The Little Mermaid
Indiana Jones
The Karate Kid
A Christmas Story
The Toy
A little more grown up movies I love are things like... Much Ado About Nothing (I LOVE SHAKESPEARE!!)
Jane Austen movies (I know. I'm a sucker.)
Friday
Austin Powers
Shaun of the Dead
Hot Fuzz
Sherlock Holmes
Actually... I like most everything. Although as I've gotten older, I can't take gore the way I could when I was a teenager. Makes me want to yak.
Hand embroidery, sewing (I'm still learning), quilting (I've just started, it's so fun!).
I know these aren't "crafts" but these are also things I love which are a part of me... gardening
camping and long nature walks
cooking and baking, especially fresh bread!
Everything to with tea
riding my scooter
playing with my dogs
cuddling with my kittys
sightseeing and road trips with my husband
goofing off with my nieces and nephews
visiting with my friends...
I like to keep my life full! And I'll always make room for new friends!
