I am taking a break from swapping in November and December. This is usually a very busy time of year for everyone and while I do love swapping I have to really budget hard for this time. I look forward to returning in January.
After an almost 2 year swapping hiatus I would like to say that I am back. I have emigrated twice and have settled in Ireland. Looking forward to catching up with everyone and getting back into the swing of things.
In December 2014 I decided we needed a change of scenery so Hubby and I sold or got rid of everything we owned in South Afica and armed with two small bags each we headed to start our life in Morocco. This meant getting rid of my entire craft room with all my craft supplies that I spent years collecting. Anywhoo we arrived in Morocco but 8 months later decided this was not for us and jumped on a plane to Ireland. Here we are much more at home and starting our lives from scratch. I bought my basic art supplies with me but am starting my stash all over again but I am getting there. Looking forward to this new adventure and hoping to make swapping part of my life again.
So here is a bit more about me. My name is Nasreen and I am a South African, married to a Moroccan living in Ireland. I love bright and shiny things and anything really colourful. I love dolls and all things doll related. I am into into vintage much but love bright colours, predominately pink and green. I am a tea drinker (anything fruity or sweet) and am a sucker for kawaii and cute things. Stickers make my heart flutter and I will always love them
I love working with mixed media, alcohol markers, line drawing, my inktense pencils and graphic markers
I often send out small RAKS if I find something that I think someone from a past swap would appreciate I don't always announce it and don't always get a thanks but I do it for the feels and hope that it makes someones day, somewhere in the world.
This is me,attempting a sludge man.
What to expect
I love drawing and most of my atc's and art work is done in markers, colored pencils and ink pens. I like to use a lot of vibrant colours. Vintage and earth tones are just not my style. I rarely do collage but have often used ink stamps to embellish if I have one that I think is appropriate. While I do not consider myself as an artist, I do believe that my work has character and that my love for what I do shows through. I have some of my work up on my flickr account so feel free to check it out.I would never send anything out that I do not personally love and if what I have made is not your style then feel free to pass it on to someone who might prefer it.
Things that I would ♥ are; * You cannot go wrong with anything bubblegum pink in color. * I ♥ Art nouveau... alot! * I love ribbon bows and bow motif's. * Salvador Dali... love, love love. * I LOVE tuxedo cats, * Shoe motif * starbucks ephemera * Anything colourful * Cupcake themed * Butterflies * opalescent (like pearly colours), * oriental, geisha * NEMO, I love clown fish and Nemo is too cute. * My favorite atc's are face/portrait ones although I do appreciate all of them. * Good Mythical Morning * Monster High
Although I would appreciate most things and am not picky, there are a few things I would prefer not to receive,
BIG NOEL FIELDING FAN... Love The Mighty Boosh and Luxury comedy and The IT crowd and Never mind the Buzz-cocks and The big fat quiz.
I love movies so much that there is not enough space for all of them, so just assume I love all movies except war films, westerns and dramas. Oh, and I have absolutely no problem watching movies over and over, some of my favorites I can recite the whole movie.
I read too many. I like all genres and often switch between them when I get bored of one style.
But however... I can read Terry Pratchett any day, over and over.
I am also a big fan of Sarah Allen Addison.
It does not have to specifically that product or item, things related to them like stickers, collectors card or ad cards orthings like that are truly appreciated.
My personal test for myself is when I complete a project and am very heart sore when it comes to parting with it. When I get very attached to an item then I know I have done my best and am ready to pass it on to my partner. I just hope they love it as much as I do.
I personally draw and embellish all my own ATC's. Although I am not an art student , I do try to put a lot of effort into my Atc's and would never trade one that I am not personally satisfied with. I like experimenting with mediums and though all are drawn with pens and
I love receiving stamped images and am always up for a stamped image swap. I would appreciate it if you wrote the ink it was stamped with and/paper used so I know how to wotk with it These are the stamped images I love:
These are my preferences although all images are appreciated

I am so sorry for you with the loss of Mr. Mandela. The only comfort I can give is the words of my president "It's not that Nelson Mandela has passed that we should care about, it's that he lived." And that is the absolute truth. You're in my thoughts always! ♥♥
