Hi my name is Mahrie

I've been married for 30 years to my best friend. I have two young adult children a 12 year old cat and a 3 year old dog. I live in OZ. I love gardening, cooking and of course sewing. I started patchwork many years ago and took a long break whilst I raised my kids and worked full time. I have just got back into it in the last 12 months and am thoroughly enjoying it. I work 2 days a week in a patchwork shop - lucky me!

My favourite block is Coral I think it's all about coral being a star. I love stars! But having said that as of today 18 March she now has a hot contender in blossom. I love most fabrics. my favourite fabric is 1930's so that is what I'm using to make my farmers wife quilt . I can't choose a least favourite fabric because every fabric has a place in a quilt especially scrap quilts .
