Diagnosed CELIAC - Gluten and Wheat and Dairy FREE HOUSE.
Being celiac has left me with a minor/major handwriting problem. Most of my postcards go out with preprinted labels or my kiddo sends them. There is no timeline for my writing to return.
I've been MIA for a few months. Dealing with celiac is a full time job. I think I'm all caught up on swaps again. If I owe you something please let me know. If you are sending goodies to my house please do not send anything with wheat/gluten or dairy.
My son loves mini figures from Lego, jellybellies, art supplies.
Crime Tv- Mentalist, Criminal Minds, Law and Order Hoarders, Storage Wars, The Good Wife, Without A Trace,
Mystery and Current Fiction
I have a NookColor and love it, but I read traditional books as well.
Crochet- hopelessly addicted to yarn
Drawing/Coloring- I just discovered colored pencils. Dover Coloring Books
I DON'T LIKE PINK
Single mommy to a great 13 yr old kiddo. Stuck in the Arizona desert. Gets hotter here every year. I work in education but my kiddo is homeschooled. We love all types of crafts!
NO PINK
I love reading, watching tv, crocheting, paper crafts, learning to color pencil(hopeless)
And watching my kiddo on the swim team!
Parts of swapping are for my sons homeschool work. You could get a postcard/letter/note/card written by a child!
I guess I need to put some swapping info on here:
Likes: Holidays!
The color green, don't like any shade of pink
I can use things flavored with Eucalyptus scent.(this is the only scent)
I love to crochet and yarn is always welcome.
I'm in quasi-art therapy and colored pencils, markers, journals and 'Dover' coloring books with moasic designs are in high demand.
More likes: pencils, smelly pencils(smencils), stickers, pens, markers, drawing stuff, bookmarks, wooden ornaments to color, wooden pieces to paint (usually at the craft store for under a buck in the holiday section). notepads, mini search a word books, colored pencils (you can buy 1-2 singles at the craft store)
My son really likes all things FRENCH, anything from France, related to France, in French.
He also loves art supplies and LEGO'S
Science Fiction Books.
If the swap has a choice between a handmade card/item and store item the store item is preferred. I love to craft and understand the concept of swapping but my son is a severe asthmatic and right now he is struggling to breath.
GLUTEN FREE HOUSE
Dislikes: My son has asthma so try to keep things smoke free, cat free and long hair dog free.
I don't like the color pink.
I don't like religious things.
I can't use lotions or bath stuff.
Due to health reasons no baked goodies.
I don't like greeting cards that have been turned into post cards
No vampires, wearwolves, etc
No junk, if its junk, throw it away!
I always try to do my best work when swapping. My 12 yr old son likes to help too. Sometimes a swap is the perfect fit for a homeschool assignment! Together we strive to make deadlines and make sure your item arrives safe and ontime. If you have a problem or something didn't arrive please let me know. I ship from the Automatic Postal Machine most times and on the rare occassion something goes missing.
Just for fun, This house believes in Santa, the Easter Bunny, Toothfaires and Leprechauns
I DON'T LIKE THE COLOR PINK (valentines day is purple , red, and other shiny colors, and I can make an exception to pink for this one day)
More things we like: (mostly my kiddo) Disney- mickey, donald, goofy etc (not the princesses) Mario Waldo M&M Characters Koolaid guy Mcdonald Characters Monster Trucks Hot Wheels ToyStory Alaska Hawaii- NOT kawaii
Dum Dum wrappers Box Tops for Education
I just 'inherited' or found a huge box of over 1200 vintage and old postcards. Probably from the 1950's to recent and from all over the world. I think this will make postcard swaps exciting and fun. I don't know the exact origin of the postcards but as far as I can tell they are smoke free. I am slowly sorting them into relevant categories. Swap on my friends.
This vintage collection is slowly dwindling down. My love of postcards and swapping has allowed these cards to be passed on. Hopefully others are enjoying them. I still have many left but no longer the 1200 I once started with!
I am almost out of the 1200 post cards. I never thought that would happen. Sad sad sad.
they are all but gone... just a few left...
Yarn .... what else can I say...
Im fine with anything but all PINK and 'red heart'. I love to try new types. I really dont have a use for 'sock' yarn or anything thinner but I'm in a yarn club and can trade for something else. I love madelinetosh and lornas laces, malabrigo, koigu. Oh gosh I could go on... I spend way too much time on jimmybeans wool watcher.
I just discovered Mountain Colors Twizzle yarn. OMG.... this stuff is wonderful and could be my true love!
merino and silk is my favorite combo right now.
Kiddo has severe asthma ** **Gluten free house
I'm finally getting closer to a DX. I think all my pain and suffering is related to GLUTEN. If I'm in a food swap for myself please do not send items with GLUTEN. Some 'safe' items are: Lara Bars, Fruit Leathers, Jelly Bellies, most hard candies. K-Cups!!
Most of my swaps are postcard swaps. I do postcards because that is what my kiddo loves and he collects them.
What types of Post Cards do I like (kiddo like)?
My kiddo loves all things French, he loves dogs, he loves science and math, swim team, National Monuments and out of the way 'quirky' places.
My kiddo "JZM" loves to get mail - keep the pc's coming!
Some likes for my kiddo J is 13 and some swaps I do are 'tween/teen' related. He likes colored pencils - you can get singles of prismcolor etc at the craft/art store. He prefers 'colors' not brown/black/gray.
He likes legos and mini figs
Any type of art supplies, art pads, paper, pastels, dover books, pencil pouches etc.
those little wooden ornaments for holidays that you can paint/color.
Food: please stay gluten and dairy free, some 'safe' items are jelly bellies, skittles, peeps, angies kettle corn, jolly ranchers, mike and ike, sweedish fish, welchs fruit snacks, lifesavers, lifesavers gummies, annies organic fruit snacks.

Hi I got your name in the yarn swap and have ordered your yarn from Jimmy Beans. I am so hoping it will make in time for me to get it out before the deadline. I will rush it right to the post office as soon as I get it. Just wanted you to have a heads up that it was ordered. :) Hope you are having a great day. Trudy
Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I really didn't expect you to send anything, really didn't want you to have to! The K cups are wonderful as I haven't tried any of them before! I couldn't rate you with a heart for the swaps, so leaving you one right here!
Also go to geometrips.com. I think that you and your son might like it:)
