I am 68. Wife to a great guy, proud to be mother to 2 adult sons, mother in law to 2 great daughter in laws and "Gram" to 4 precious grandchildren - 3 boys and1 girl. Five years ago we moved from North Eastern PA to a rural area near Albany NY. The move was made to be nearer the grandchildren. I had retired from my job as Food Service Director of a school district. I had managed the cafeterias in 3 buildings for 24 years. Before that I had been a Cooperative Extension 4 -H agent and Home Economist for NYS. Also taught school for a while. My husband is retired after being a salesman for many years.
I like country music - especially Johnny Cash- and music from the 60's.
I enjoy sewing - clothes for granddaughter and for her dolls. I also like to make tote bags and quilts. I got a quilt frame for Christmas and now am signed up to take a class to learn to hand quilt. Also like to crochet afgans
I like all colors but especially greens, rust, tans and orange and most fabrics except for very modern designs.
I enjoy decorating the house for holidays - especially Christmas - Santas and cardinals and after Christmas I decorate with snowmen.
I like to cook and bake. Especially like to bake and decorate cakes and make cookies.I made and decorated many wedding cakes but really enjoy doing birthday cakes that I can cut and make into shapes. Recently did one that looked like a chain saw.I am always looking for new recipes to try.
I like to have a cup of decaf or herbal tea and sit and watch the birds in the winter and in the summer I sit on the patio and look at the perennial garden. We also have a small vegetable garden in the summer. Like to be outdoors and go for a walk most days.
I am new to swapping and finding it to be lots of fun
God Bless
