I haven't figured out how to type something in here and in another slot quite yet, so I'll just start out with this and go from there.
I'm originally from upstate NY in the Finger Lakes region where I spent the last 2 years as a Spanish teacher. The great part was I finally grew to appreciate the area and got much closer with my family than I ever thought I would. Unfortunately, it's no where I want to live permanently, and so I moved in July.
I've always been about languages and travelling, even from a VERY young age. I've studied and currently speak French and Spanish and am working my way into German. I spent 2 yrs in France and 4 months in Spain, and am now ending my 3rd month in Germany.
I live currently with a German-American family south of Stuttgart, and try to get out myself a couple days each week. The area Baden-Wurttemberg is beautiful, and it seems the more I see, the more I want to see! I'm thinking one year is just not going to be enough!
My interests anything international (food, lang, currency, postcards, pics, architecture, etc) and anything "old" looking. I love maps, I can stare at them forever if I could. I have no idea where that fascination came from.
My favorite movie is L'auberge espagnole. A French film about the Erasmus program in Europe, takes place in Barcelona and slightly in Paris.
I love to read, I finished the HP series and am trying my luck at 2-3 months old German to read the first book. (I have a lot of work to do!) I also love The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo and being the dorky French major I am, Le Petit Prince :)
The only thing I'm not really into is TV, between constant moving between countries and continents I haven't been able to watch a show for more than a season or two and can't stay interested. Now I can't even understand it!

I hope you enjoyed Spain and got lots and lots of pictures of "Baby is Monica". :)
I sent your letter, finally! I'm terribly sorry about the wait.
You're just too cute! I miss you. Come home or take me with you!
I love that French film! L'auberge Espagnole. Did you see the third one yet? The Russian Dolls Or is that the same one? Stephanie (solarts)
