Hello!
My name is Clair, I am brand new to swap-bot. I am excited to begin swapping!
I live in West Michigan, along the coast of Lake Michigan. I am going to school to be an Elementary Teacher to hopefully teach 3rd or 4th grade. I also have a previous degree in Environmental Studies, which allowed me to work in different areas of the US and teach nature!
Therefore, I am a big nature and animal fan (raccoons and bears are my favorites), so I enjoy those types of cards the most. I am also an avid gardener, and have taken the plunge into growing heirloom seeds this year (it has been quite a roller coaster).
My favorite vegetable to grow is tomatoes, and I am very excited for tomato season – nothing tastes better than homegrown! I also love picking fruit at my local orchards including: backyard mulberries, cherries, blueberries, peaches, strawberries, backyard apples, and even concord grapes. Can you tell summer is my favorite season??
I am constantly busy with work and school – I work at my local post office as a rural carrier, so I handle mail all day. Any free time besides work or school is spent hanging out with friends and family, I enjoy playing Dungeons & Dragons and board games often. I am also very close with my grandmother, whom I am often solving puzzles with. I also just bought myself a canoe, so I have been working hard to enjoy it while I can.
I recently started Postcrossing, and have been excited by the new postcards I have received. A member of Postcrossing.com told me about this site, and I am excited to learn how it all works!
Please grant me patience - I want to provide great cards and interactions but am still grasping the concept of this website. I love sending and receiving mail, and will try my best to follow all rules and send great cards!
The majority of my postcards are of my local town, or of places I have recently traveled to. I am most excited to be able to exchange some of these to increase my card variety! I also enjoy DIYing post cards, but they never turn out quite as nice as I imagine lol. If you handmake cards, I would love to receive some!
Thanks!

It sounds nice how you’re close to your grandmother. I was close to mine also!
