I am a rainbow located in the Eastern US. I live with my Man and our chocolate lab who at three years old is still VERY much a puppy. I dream of moving to the mountains. I dream of owning chickens and goats and honey bees. I dream of not working for someone else (I am a web designer, and I love it, but I hate 9 - 5!). I dream of crafting and growing and loving!
Ben Folds Five, Pink, Yonder Mountain String Band, Everclear, Train, Adele, Blues Traveler, Third Eye Blind, Pearl Jam, The Presidents of the United State of America, The Dixie Chicks, Jewel, Alanis Morissette, The Grateful Dead
The Phantom Tollbooth, Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy, The Giving Tree, Lisey's story
I like to knit, although I don't know many of the techniques I can knit scarves all day! I knit a pair of fingerless gloves with the little half thumb this winter, and I was quite pleased with the results!
I like to make bead jewelry. There is something so exciting about pretty sparkly glass and gemstone beads.
I have loved to sew since I was a teenager, when I bought my Great-grandmother's old sewing machine from my Grandpa. I LOVE making skirts and shirts and bags!
I recently discovered the joy of cutting strips of glass, drilling holes in them and making wind chimes!
I love robin egg blue, grass green, cucumbers, and all shades of hydrangea!
I love herbs and spices. I love glass, especially vintage glass. I love anything witchy - green witchcraft not cartoon witchy. I love nature and natural things. I love pebbles and twigs and feathers and leaves. I love tarot cards. I love unique and unusual. I love vintage silverplated thrift store finds. I love pretty little spoons.
I love teacups and saucers, bowls, bottles, plates. I love hand knit or crocheted dishrags and towels. I have a special love for butter pats, which are tiny little plates made for your butter to sit on.
I really don't like plastic. If it can be bought in a glass or metal version, I much prefer it. A plain glass spice bottle is beautiful to me, where a plastic one only seems like trash. I have become very conscious of all of the "disposable" plastic that ends up in landfills without a thought - pens, makeup containers (mascara, lipstick, eye shadow, etc), food and product packaging, fast food containers, plastic straws.
