My name is Catherine and I live near beautiful Fraser Island it is a lovely view to admire every day. I guess I love the colours of nature and also bright and vibrant colours. I don't like a lot of yellow mainly because its not my personal colour and I don't have much in my home.

My favorite pastime or actually any time is sewing and of course it is patchwork and quilting. I have a miniature schnauzer who watches and at times helps me with my sewing.I enjoy machine and hand embroidery and I am always doing a little something for my grandchildren(9 mainly boys).

The fabric I chose for the Farmers Wife 1930's sew along was from Sue Daley - Forget Me Not-. the name of the fabric I thought was reminiscent of the farmers wives of the time. The fabric range is in colours of blues, grays and browns. My favorite block so far is Sara and Nancy.

I enjoy travelling overseas and experiencing other cultures and foods. South America was appealing because the people wore such bright colourful clothes. My favorite movie is Pride and Prejudice. I enjoy looking at the costumes and think I would like to spend a day wearing one of the beautiful dresses.

I hope this helps my swap friend to decide on a little gift I will treasure and enjoy. Maybe a signing might be nice touch as an inclusion on the gift.
