Hello! I am 46 and am from Aurora, CO. I live with my husband, Doug, our cat Chase, and our dog, Max. We have no children except the furry ones. I am back in graduate school full-time working on my Ph.D in Forensic Psychology. My goal is to eventually work in the juvenile justice system. I love crafts and taking pictures of just about anything. I love most crafts, especially papercrafting, making cards, etc. I love meeting new people and getting mail!
I love sending and receiving snail mail. My favorite colors are blue, purple, green, and pink. I love dogs. I have a miniature schnauzer. I like Hello Kitty and Badtz Maru. I also love unique stationery and stickers. Eeyore is a favorite also. I like reading, photography, scrap booking and collecting things. Hmmm... I think that's all for now!
I love listening to music and playing music. I used to play the flute, French horn, cello, and piano. Now I just listen to music of all types. I love everything from metal to electronic, pop, classical, dance and oldies.
Some of my favorite bands/musical artists include: Godsmack, Metallica, Elton John, Newsboys, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Bush, and Matchbox Twenty.
I love to read. I'll read pretty much anything. I love erotica, psychological thrillers, mysteries, humor, books about dogs and animal behavior, and journal writing prompts. I will read just about anything but my least favorite type of book is horror.
I have a wide taste in movies, but I generally like comedies and psychological thrillers and science fiction. I DO NOT WATCH HORROR/GORE! I can tolerate action movies but NOT movies with large amounts of killing/blood/unnecessary violence.
Some of my favorite movies are: Primal Fear, Star Trek, Get Him to the Greek, Breakfast Club, The Client, The Host, Pink Floyd: The Wall, Sunshine, Savannah Smiles, Solaris, Logan's Run, Silent Running, Soylent Green, Red Eye, Forgotten, and Flight Plan.
I don't watch a whole lot of television, but when I do I like reality television shows, drama, and cartoons.
Some of my favorite television shows are: Survivor, Chicago Fire, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Aquaman, In Treatment, Emergency, Psi Factor, and Dr. Who.
I love all types of crafts, from painting to drawing to cross-stitching to card making and scrap booking. I would love to learn/start to make my own envelopes and stationery to send to my pen pals. I'm starting to build a pretty good collection of scrapbooking supplies.
Likes: Blue, purple, green, pink, raunchy humor, washi and deco tape, postcards, Hello Kitty, Badtz Maru, Doodle Jump, mix-and-match stationery, anything German, anything Japanese, animals - especially elephants and dogs, Shotokan Karate, Eeyore, writing, journals, erotica, snow and winter, space and space travel.
Dislikes: Phone calls, death metal, jazz, people who lie, mornings, summer, graphic violence, traffic, whiners, religious and political nuts, and heat.
FYIs: 1. I don't mind receiving faith-based/Bible quote items. Inspirational quotes and pictures are fine, too.
I don't like overly scary/creepy things. No gore, no horror, no graphic or ritualistic violence, etc.
I'm not into extremes in politics and religion - especially debates and "the world is ending" type of discussions.

Happy Birthday Denise!"
From all of us at "WIYM" group!
Hope you had a fantastic day!
I love Wooftrax as I can raise money by doing what I already do! Our little rescue group has averaged about $75 a donation and we don't have many people walking. Thanks for walking to help the Denver Dumb Friends league!
Happy Birthday!
From all of us at "WIYM"!
Thank you so much for my beautiful birthday card and gifts! You brought so much happiness to my day with this surprise. My health is much better, thank you!! I am now just catching up with "real life" things so that I can get back to swapping :D
Thanks so much for sending me some birthday happy mail; that's so sweet of you!! I opened it a little early -- hope you don't mind. :-) (I'll be out of town on my actual birthday and the week preceding.) I loved everything and LOVED the washi tape decorations on the envelopes; I felt kind of bad having to "ruin" the design my opening the envies, so I was especially excited to see that you included a very generous sampling of washi for me to use!! Thanks again. :-)
Happy New Year! I meant to tell you in the rating for List Journal #4 how much I LOVED the envelope you made to mail the book in!!! I've been wanting to try my hand at making envelopes (and cards) and then within a week I get 2 amazing envelopes in two different swaps. I am so trying that this year!! Have a happy, safe and joyous 2014!!
Thank you so much for the RAK postcards for my sponsored child :)
Thank you so much for the adorable holiday card and kind note! You made my day. Happy swapping and happy holidays!!
