Hello from BC, Canada! What to put here... I'm Alan, I'm a trans guy in my 20s, and I work as an accounting clerk. My main hobby is reading - I enjoy mystery/detective stories, scifi/fantasy, romance, and anything with a good sense of humour. I ride the bus everywhere and do a lot of reading there. Thank goodness for e-readers, otherwise I'd be lugging paperbacks around everywhere! Other than that I like cross stitching, doing jigsaw puzzles, and have recently been trying to learn to crochet. So far I have made two very lumpy hats. Any type of textile work fascinates me, and I love hearing about what projects people are working on. If you're working on something, feel free to write about it to me! I have a sweet calico cat named Good Kitty who loves laser pointers and warm spots, and have a definite soft spot for anybody else's pets. GK's sleeping on my legs as I type this. My love of post comes from when I would send cards to my grandmas, but since we all live in the same city now, we don't write as much. I joined swap-bot because I missed the feeling of checking the mailbox and seeing personal mail. I live with a good friend and her partner in a coastal city. There's quite a few parks and beach walks nearby, which is quite nice. Mail-wise, I love vintage or thrifted cards, nature themes, artwork, homemade cards, stamps and stickers of all types, and local or tourist-y postcards. I really do enjoy receiving any mail though, so don't feel you need to only send something that fits that list! My only request is please don't send me any religious-themed mail.
