I am a crafty girlie who lives in Leeds, UK. I love patchwork/quilting, fabric crafts, crochet, knitting and felt crafts. I am married to the man of my dreams and am mum to 2 kitties - Maggie and Jimmy - and 33 strawberry shortcake dolls!

Favorite Music

I am a rock chick at heart and love anything with plenty of guitars, but love pop music to sing along with in the car. I like most music but I don't like R & B and country.

Favorite Books

I read almost anyting but really love Patricia Cornwell 'esque books. (I am a frustrated Forensic Scientist!!)

Favorite Movies

Untouchables (and anything mafia), Forrest Gump, Almost Famous, Raising Arizona, Minority report, Fight Club, Erin Brokovich, Jumping Jack Flash.

Favorite Crafts

The craft I love the most is patchwork - both hand and machine - and quilts are what I spend most of my leisure time making. Crochet is my second love but I also love felt crafts and knitting.

Favourite Colours

Pink of any shade! Reds/maroons/oranges/mustards. Pale greens/aquas Primary colours. Light and bright colours!

Favourite Tastes

Anything sweet but love jelly sweets (haribo/jelly beans etc), marshmallows, anything fizzy/sour, mints, all fruit flavours, and of course chocolate! I'm not keen on cinnamon flavoured sweets or cranberry flavour.

I would love to receive

fabrics!! I like vintage style fabrics, either true vintage or repro fabrics such as American Jane. I also love fabrics designed by people like Heather Bailey and Amy Butler. I love spots. I don't like stripes. I like primary colours and fabrics that are light and bright and not very keen on dark and murky coloured fabrics. I love pink!

Quilting and sewing magazines/books - old or new. Mini quilts and quilt blocks. Crocheted items. Handmade fabric toys, dollies, bags, purses. Susan bates metal crochet hooks - sizes 4mm and up. Buttons. Embroidery floss Sweeties and chocolate from other parts of the world (zero bars...Mmmm....) anything that anyone has made for me!...

Comment: Really beautiful butterfly! There is a large group of ladies at my church who quilt and I will have to show them the picture. I don't quilt, but I do a lot of counted cross-stitch -- just didn't occur to me to do something with fabric for this project.
Response: Thanks! Quilting is my thing for me it was the most obvious choice. I loved making it :-)
