Besides writing, I love knitting, reading, watching classic movies, drinking tea, and my dog, Sam, who is a Papillon. My husband and I love all outdoor sports, including hiking, biking, golf, and even snowshoeing, so I love to see landscapes and natural settings.

I would love to receive any Papillon (or any dog, for that matter) cards or ones with classic movie stars - Grace Kelly, Marilyn Monroe, Ava Gardner, Betty Grable, Ginger Rogers - anybody in black & white! I love Art Nouveau and Art Deco artists and illustrators - Alphonse Mucha is my favorite.

I also love cooking and would look forward to any food postcards or recipes.

But really, I would welcome any mail of any kind, and I'd be happy to write you back if you send your address! Hope to hear from you soon!

Knitting and crochet are my main craft; I learned to knit in high school and have spent the last 10 years slooooowwly teaching myself and honing my skills. It's so satisfying to see something I've made with only my hands, basic tools, and yarn. I love to make everything from potholders and trivets to lace shawls and baby garments.

I also love to sew, and am obsessed with 1960s fashions. I attempt to create modern adaptations of classic styles, and you will usually find me working on a shirtwaist dress or a pleated skirt, or a vintage christening gown.

Quilting is another passion of mine, and I'd love to do a fabric swap one day!
