A mother, a spouse, a quiltmaker, crafter, "sew-er", beginning knitter, toy- and doll-maker, scrapbooker, photographer, gardener, cook, dreamer, collage-maker, rubber stamp enthusiast, wage-earner, peace-maker. I like a wide range of colors and styles -- Asian inspired, nature inspired, and I can't really think of a color I don't like.
I'm all over the map with what I listen to. Classical, jazz, classic rock (I'm 45 so grew up in the 60s and 70s with all that great music), contemporary stuff. I also have never liked having to list favorites -- too much to choose from!
I really do not watch much tv -- I could live without it easily. I do enjoy the cooking shows on food network, and travel shows sometimes, and luckily I like the programming on Animal Planet since that's usually my son's first choice.
Like many of you, I suspect, I've a life-long love of making things; my mother always made things and she passed the passion to me. I've GOT to get a digital camera and I've got to get some photos of my work on my blog (it's just a trite beginner's effort, at this point). I've a son who's soon to turn 9 -- he too loves making things and appreciates (still!) all I make for him. I think, though, that it is his growing up that's made me particularly focused recently on soft toys and dolls. I particularly love fabric that's meant to be used for children or seems ready to dress a small toy of some sort. I've recently done more scrapbooking than anything else and am only now getting back into quilting and sewing (thanks to the world of incredible artists sharing their work on their blogs). I'm also trying to finish off the backlogs of "WIPs" -- one notable is a baby quilt I began for a friend, whose son is now easily 16 years old (guess I get to keep the quilt when it's finished!)....
