Whoa! Really bad news-extended the vacation too long and lost two swaps because I didn't assign partners on time. Well, I'm back and getting myself together again. Very, very sorry!!
Loving, friendly 50+yo woman; daughter, sister, aunt, godmother, friend. Spoiler of children. Packrat. Crocheter, yarnaholic, hookaholic. Nurse, Medical Reserve Corps volunteer. Red Hatter, computer solitaire player. Reader. Getting a little spacy as I get older; lots of seizures don't help. I also procrastinate a bit. If procrastination were an Olympic sport, I'd win--except that I probably wouldn't get the paperwork in on time.
Carole King, James Taylor, Carly Simon, Christine Lavin, Livingston Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, Art Garfunkel, John Secada,
Grafton, Kellerman (F & J), Patterson, Cornwell, Mott Davidson, Deaver, Evanovich, Perry.
L&O, the original and SVU. CSI, the original. NCIC. Good Eats. Orangutan Island. Meerkat Manor. Return to Chimp Eden. Moonlight. Star Trek: Enterprise. ST: DS9. Home Improvement. Ace of Cakes. Burn Notice. If I had to give up TV forever, BN would be the show I'd miss most!!
No "reality," no "game shows"
Crocheter, sew-er, charity stitcher, on-line stitcher, swapper, penpal, pattern-downloader. Scrapbooker. Bookmark-maker. Swap host.
Favorite colors: Purples. Purple and pink bedroom. Kitchen, DR, LR country blue, bright blue, with bits of beige and yellow
Philosophy: Reduce, reuse, recycle. Each one, teach one. Random acts of kindness. Cardinal works of mercy. Hold the earth unto the seventh generation. Hug a tree. Hug a child. Pray for peace. Support our troops. Bring them home. Remember the veterans. Save the earth; it's the only one with chocolate. Avoid doing dishes, they will only be dirty again tomorrow.
The chance to get back to school nursing. Just a bit more cash. More time with the nephews. Ok, more than a bit more cash, but not necessarily a huge amount more. More ambition. More time. More storage room!!! Living upstairs from a library with a direct chute for finished books so that mine would never be overdue. An unlimited supply of yarn and stamps. More chocolate. Definitely a bit more cash.
Meat and potato-eater (especially baked, with tons of butter) but favorite vegetables include brocolli, corn, french-cut string beans.
Favorite fruits-nectarines, Macintosh and Maccoon apples, pineapples, mangos, cranberries, pears.
Gluten-free, can't have wheat, barley, oats, or rye, so I've had to give up most cakes, brownies, pie, unless I make them or pay a lot.
Thank the Lord (and I mean that sincerely) I can still have chocolate bars and Reeses' PB cups. Oh, and potato chips.

Thank you for the lovely bookmark! It was a surprise indeed - a fantastic, unexpected mail from a fantastic coordinator. :)

Hi! I did sign up for all of them beginning in July. I actually bought a package of blank bookmarks at the craft store a week or so ago. Can't wait to use them. Plus I have some patterns for ribbon bookmarks and stuff like that. I joined your FlickR group. I can't wait until some posts something so I can get an idea of what I am doing.
To anyone who reads these comments: HOORAY!!!
I believe I have managed to set up a flickr.com group for this and other swaps I am hosting. My screen name is karenvan252541 (tedious explanation) and the group is called Swap-bot bookmarks. The forums are set up by the name of the swap, and there are just a few rules. Only first names or swap-bot ids are acceptable. You may post bookmarks you have received at any time. You may not post bookmarks you are sending until one week after you sent them. There are also forums for ideas, for sources, for books you arer reading and recommend, or don't, and for bookmarks you may have made or received that are not related to these swaps. I truly hope you will take advantage of this flickr group. Thank you!! Karen
