Hi, my name is Melissa Clarke and I am a mother of two small children. I am happily married woman to a Christian husband.
I love craft and recently started joining IG swaps and learning the art of quilting and EPP.
I have FB page where I sell a range of products from things for around the house to items for boys and girls. I attend markets when I can, hoping to earn myself some extra pocket money. I have a HUGE appreciation for handmade items as i know how much love and effort that goes into each piece that is made.
My IG name is: melciescraftyhands
My Pinterest name is: SupaSmyles
I like to knit, crochet, sew and make basic felt items. I've been knitting since my mid teens and crocheting since my early 20's. I am basically self taught. I've been sewing since my mid 20's when my MIL bought me a sewing machine for my birthday one year. I have recently started quilting and English Paper Piecing. I am still a newbie with this area but i am keen to develop this into a lovely hobby.
My favourite colours are Purple and Yellow. Especially if they are used together. But i also love other colour combinations like Blue/Orange, Red/Green.
I am a huge fan of cute kids prints. But i also like florals, chevron, plaid, gingham.
Some designers i have in my stash currently are: Liberty, Michael Miller, Riley Blake, Moda, Free Spirit, Amy Barickam, B&C.
I am very open minded about what i receive. As long as i know that you have put thought into what you have made i will love it none the less. There is one thing I have learnt from swaps is that i don't give what i wouldn't want to keep myself. And if i don't like the quality of the item then i definitely don't give because i know my partner wouldn't be very happy.
I don't really have any Dislikes but I'm not a huge fan of pink. And I don't like strong perfumed items like soaps and creams.
Please enjoy making something for me. I am easily pleased. Don't stress about designer fabrics and designers. Like I've said above, as long as you have put thought into what you have made i will love it none the less. Everything above is a guide for you.
I cant wait to see what you make and send to me
Mel :-)
