Hello! My name is Mendy I have been a member of this site for a few months now, but have never done a swap. I do hope that now I have the time to really get involved! I am very excited to participate and hope that I become a good member. :)

A little about me. Hmmm, where to begin. I always hate doing these things and I feel I never accurately describe myself. Ultimately I am a simple person who enjoys so much in life. I think the little things are the most important thing and can bring a smile to even those with a heavy heart. I enjoy baking and cooking, and I can't function without coffee. I am an avid reader and I love the smell of a new book. I laugh too loud and sound like a moose when I get on a roll!

So, that about sums me up!

I have recently discovered my love for postcards! All of these years and few places I have been, I never thought to pick any up. :( That is all changing now and I hope to have a vast collection one day.

As far as what kind of cards I like, I am not picky at all. I have received so many wonderful cards, that I just can't say that I have received one I didn't like. Touristy? I'll be thrilled to see different places! Art,ad, and homemade are welcome by me. The only restriction I have (and this goes for anything) is absolutely NO SPIDERS or anything in the arachnid family. All I will do is scream and most likely throw it away.

If anything changes in my preferences, I will update as I go along! :)

To sit and try to list all the favorite music would just take too long! I have no favorite genre, but I seem to fall back onto rock or indie. I am constantly listening to something, and if it sounds good, I will like listen to it a lot. Currently I am really digging Battleme and I can't seem to turn it off!

Books are the best! I LOVE to read and it doesn't matter what type of book at all. I think you can learn a thing a two from any type of book. Right now I am catching up on some classic authors and their stories such as Hemingway and Twain. I have a love for JR Ward and Sebastian Junger.

I love the smell of books and I discovered the weight of a book is important to me. To be able to feel and hold the book is so much better than reading a digital copy. I like the convenience of my kindle, but I loathe myself for getting rid of a ton of books when I bought it. Now, I have to replace all of the books and it is something I look forward to!
