I'm employed full time in the medical device industry. I love to be barefoot, when I get home, the shoes come off. My must have every day is Dr. Pepper. I'm married for the second and last time. I have two grown and gone children, boy and a girl. I grew up in the boonies of northeast Texas. I always said growing up that I wanted to live where I wouldn't have to get my feet muddy to get somewhere. And I always have. I don't mind getting muddy but it has to be because I want to. I love thrift stores for all the weird, odd, and useful stuff you can find. Not a big fan of paying retail. I have 2 cats that are crazy but insist they are not. I buy and sell on ebay.
My favorite music is old school country. Give me some Johnny Cash, George Jones, Conway Twitty, Buck Owens, Mickey Gilley, Gary Stewart. Most any from the 50s, 60s, & 70s. Ancestry.com tells me that Billy Joe Shaver is my 4th cousin once removed. Not exactly kin to royalty, but interesting.
My favorite book of all time is The Stand by Stephen King. I've read it three or four times. I like Jack Reacher novels (by Lee Child) but am generally not a big fan of recurring characters. I will read pretty much anything though.
Love NCIS, Antiques Roadshow, Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men. I don't watch a lot of TV. Mostly prefer to read or craft.
I love to cross-stitch. Collage, atcs, and altered art all appeal to me because there's no right or wrong. I always wanted to make a quilt but I can't seem to get enthused about making the same block over and over and making sure my corners match. (Which really flies in the face of x-stitch, how repetitive is that??) So I've started a crazy quilt block. I can sew but its been a while since I've made clothing.
