Hello Friends! I'm celebrating my four year anniversary on Swap Bot! Happy to still be a part of this community.

I live in Michigan and love the lakes, the forests, the beautiful coastline and yes, even the winter! Formerly I was a wetland biologist for the state and still have a fondness for any plant or creature that lives in a swamp. We live in Brighton, just north of Ann Arbor, and have been here since we got married nearly 20 years ago.

I have 3 boys, all teens now, who keep me busy.

My pastimes include reading, making journals, collage and messy paint projects, taking log walks and visiting antique shops.

Swap bot introduced me to the deco swapping world and I am forever grateful! I have had so much fun trading these little books and the community of deco enthusiasts have become important friends.

I love original art, hand colored items, collage, ephemera, washi, postcards, stationery sets, notecards, new postage stamps, and, of course, STICKERS!

Your handmade postcards will make me happy.

As far as subjects go, I am really open to receiving anything you think is beautiful, but here are a few things I particularly enjoy:

Animals: birds (especially parrots and cockatoos), fish, cats, snakes, frogs, turtles

Plants: ferns, cactus, trees, wetland plants

Natural history: ancient creatures, geology, crystals and fossils, ancient peoples

Vintage: Victorian, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, mid century style, Georgian/Jane Austen style... really anything vintage is fun to me.

Places/culture: Local landmarks and history from where you live, regional recipes, fairy tales, folktales, mythology

You: Mostly I want to hear about YOU. What, Who and How do you love? What makes you tick?

I LOVE musicals especially Hamilton, Rent, Les Miserables, Wicked and some of the old classics like Fiddler on the Roof and The Sound of Music

I love so many books that I couldn't begin to list them all. I've been a Goodreads member since 2008 so it's hard to leave, despite the fact that the platform is not great (and owned by Amazon.
