I am a twenty-something grants manager and nearly-finished MA student living in Austin, Texas. I like reading, movies, crafts, retro and kitschy stuff, long hot baths, and various other stuff as time and inclination allow. I love to thrift shop, give presents, and receive mail. I write letters the old-fashioned way, with a pen. I live in my very own much-loved house with my partner, my two dogs, my two cats, and whatever foster dog we happen to have at the moment. I collect metal lunch boxes and love funky vintage just about anything.

I am unabashedly political, feminist, liberal, humanist, bleeding heart. I'm supporting Obama for president and have started to collect his merch.

I tend towards folk, alt-country, and the like, but I am open to anything with compelling lyrics.

Too many to count. I have a love-hate relationship with Tim Burton and generally like anything the Coen brothers do.

Mostly I watch home decorating and real estate shows, or shows about cleaning and organizing. I also really like House. My all-time favorites include Joan of Arcadia, Roseanne, and The Wire.

I'm only on-and-off crafty. I like to college and make things that are usable and not just decorative. Recently I am more focused on things for my house, panting, refinishing furniture, etc., and indoor and outdoor plants. It's a live-and-learn process.
