I love anything vintage! Buttons, linens, clothing, magazines, shoes, books, etc.
I'm really eclectic when it comes to home decorating. On one hand I LOVE clean, modern, simple.
On the other, I LOVE vintage fabrics, vintage furniture, fixtures, etc.
I collect thriftstore paintings/art (collectible).
I'm trying to figure out what I want to do 'when I grow up' (I'm 34!)
I love working in my yard, I have many pretty colors working with each other. I'm particularly fond of the color chartreuse. My house is a fabulous mish-mash of browns, chartreuse, burgundy, with little specks of color from various objects I've collected over the years. I have a Vladimir Tretchikoff print of "Chinese Girl", the blue lady sits on my piano. When it comes to 'kitsch', I like it to a minimum. I love some of it but too much of it becomes clutter.
I love old home design magazines from the 60's but also love the super ultra-modern design magazines of today. (I LOVE Dwell)
I drink coffee and tea, I love exploring the tea world. I enjoy it herbal, green, white, black, it's fun to give them all a try.
I love to cook, as does my husband. Anything goes.
Wine has replaced water (just about), I love to have a glass or two daily. The thrill of finding GREAT wines under 15$ has become my life's mission.
Anything from the 40's-50's or earlier: Jazz, girl groups from the 60's, Old Country/Western Swing, Ska/Reggae. Irish, French (Edith Piaf), Romanian (love polka'esque groups with tons of insturments), I love most music except.... Musak, Modern country, American Idol (that's not music folks), Mainstream crap such as Josh Grabbin', Michael Bolton, Dave Matthews,.. I grew up on stuff such as Sex Pistols, the Clash, etc. Still love it! Also grew up listening to The Cure, New Order, Bauhaus, Jesus and Mary Chain, Echo and the Bunnymen, etc. Still have a fondness for the music that shaped me.
Secretary, any Jim Jarmusch film, Pedro Almodovar, The Celebration, Babette's Feast, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Blue/White/Red, there are MANY more...
Battlestar Gallactica (that was a flook, I normally despise science fiction), Intervention, What not to Wear, Project Runway, John Stewart
I enjoy knitting, crocheting, anything crafty really. I've just started making earings, playing with wire, beads, etc. I have thousands of vintage buttons and don't know what to do with them, have any ideas?

So bummed about Knit-Happy.... It was great fun! I got to try many new things, loved every moment of my creation. I never got anything from my swap-partner, she's not even a member of swap-bot anymore..... Just me feeling sorry for myself..... weep :)
Thanks for hosting the knit happy swap, it was really fun. :-)
