I love reading and writing, almost any and all crafts, photography, snail mail, the United States Postal Service, found objects, creating art out of found objects, hiking and camping, the redwood forest, the Pacific Ocean, wine and vineyards, the word flannel, cooking vegetarian and baking. Oh and even though I read about a book a day I am one of them worst spellers ever! (so please excuse me for my creative spelling, blame it on the California school system) There's lots more but that's a start.
As far as crafting and swaping goes I'm pretty much interested in everything. I love swaps that involve crafting, particularly collage based and I am a huge fan of creating art from found objects. I'm also really into incorporating quotes iinto my artwork. I'm new at this site and not sure exactly what is wanted in this portion of the site so any suggestions would be greatly appriciated. I look forward to swapping!!!
I like pretty much all music, it just depends on my mood at the time but classic rock is one of my favorites. My all time favorite band is Fleetwood Mac. I have a soft spot for Irish/celtic music. I'm really interested in small town bands and going to shows that I know nothing about. From time to time I have been known to listen to country but my preference is for good ol' country not so much the mass produced stuff comming out today. Give me Johnny, Chris and Willie.
I will read pretty much anything and everything. Books are like my life-line, I have loved reading for as long as I can remember and consider my books to be part of my family, I could almost say I collect books as once I've read them I cannot get rid of them, they hold a personal connection for me to another world. I'm not a huge sci-fi fan but even so I have been known to enjoy a few. In fact on of my favorite authors is Orson Scott Card and Ender's Game changed my life.
I love anything and everything collage. I love working with found objects and using them as a canvas or inspiration for my art. I really enjoy creating my own post cards and customizing them to the reciever. I have an obcession with the USPS, the magazine FOUND, the book Postsecrets and I love the website fmylife.com. I think people who stretch reality are brilliant and some of my favorite performance artists are The Yes Men, if you've never heard of them I definately recommend checking them out!
