I love ATCs! This sounds like a really fun swap! I've been doing ATCs for about 1 1/2 years, and love making/swapping them. I love any and all kinds of paper, but I do altered/shabby chic items as well. I quilt during the winter, and rubber stamp all the time! Most of all, I love getting mail! Although I'm a newbie, I understand the heartbreak of not receiving a swap, so I don't do it. You can see some of my work on flickr.
I love color. I know, that just drives everybody crazy when swapbots say that! But it's true! What I'm not crazy about is purple. Nothin' against it, and I may join the purple ATC swap, but just not crazy about it. Any other color is fair game.
I love all that fat-artery-cloggin' food, especially, big, fat, greasy cheeseburgers! And baked potatoes, dripping in butter and sour cream! And cheesecake! And my son makes a flourless chocolate cake with ganache that is lethal! But I'm on the yogurt/granola circuit. I don't eat a whole lot, so I try to balance in a day more good food than bad/junk.
TV/Movies, well, TV soaps, just did a Sopranos marathon--Tony's dream episodes are hysterical! Movies, well, I love Matt Damon/Denzel Washington/Samuel Jackson and I liked Tom Cruise in the Mission Impossible series, but the last one wasn't that great. Plus, he blew it for me on Oprah's show. I like Glenn Close, and Margot Kidder.
Regarding style, I love shabby chic/grunge/distressed, whatever you'd like to call it. The type of sense of humor that I have sometimes surfaces in my ATCs, and I pop off in another style--not cutesy, but....funny, I hope. Nothing off color or offensive, but poking fun at myself and......you'll just have to wait to find out!

Thanks so much for joining my ATC mini kits swap! I think you will have a delightful time both getting and making up the kits.
Hi Zhulia, the info to get to your flickr page doesn't work :D

hi zhulia,
thanks so much for your kind note and good rating. in answer to your question, i glued some rice paper down over part of the page and painted over all of it except the little "window" to the japanese writing. i then painted several layers over it with various acrylic paints to give it lots of texture before gluing on the buddah and other goodies. i'm so glad you like it! it's kind of fun to see the "before" and "after" when doing these recycled sorts of swaps.
i'm kicking myself now for not scanning or photographing it. do you mind posting a shot of it? betsy wants to see it (she's in our swap). :)

Hi Zhulia,
Do you have a website or another URL I can see your work on?
