Response: Thanks for the five and heart. Very glad you enjoyed!
Response: So glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the 5 and heart!
Response: No worries. It takes time for things to make it overseas. Besides, so many people travel over the summer.
Response: Wow, I can't believe they took so long. So glad they finally made it and that you loved them. Thank you!
Response: So glad she made it safe and sound. I'll have to do another paper doll swap some time. It is an interesting way of thinking about things. Thanks for the 5 and heart.
Response: I'm so glad you love it! Thanks for the 5 and heart. :)
Response: So glad they finally made it! Thank you for the five and heart! :D
Response: Thanks. I think I went out of my comfort zone to make that card and the results are interesting. Thanks for the rating and heart.
Response: That's so funny, that is my mom's favorite too! Glad you enjoyed--still getting the hang of inchies.
Response: Oh, so glad you liked him. It was a very fun swap and I always enjoy the quality of work that comes from individuals in your swaps.
Response: So glad you found the door--I started with it and worked up in layers. Janus is also a Roman god of doors/gates, typically portrayed as a two headed man. Thanks for the 5 and heart!
Response: That card was a wild ride to make. Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the heart.
Response: That's pretty funny. I think many housecats have the wild of big cats in them, with the hint of elegance--like they'd wear gloves if they thought it would suit them. Glad you enjoyed the cards!
Response: That is so funny--it is the last one I did! I admire skunks, from a distance, and have watched many a baby skunk grow up in my parents' backyard. Thanks for the 5 and heart.
Response: Glad you like them! Thanks for the 5 and heart!
Response: So glad you enjoyed everything. Thank you for the five and heart!
Response: You are very welcome! Glad you like the new one as well as the old one. :D
Response: Thank you for the kind words. I am so glad you got and loved your card.
Response: You're welcome. I like to share techniques I use because I know we are often trying new things on swap-bot. Thanks for the 5 and heart.
Response: Glad you liked it. Thanks for the heart, it is definitely fun to play with coating a paper with different acrylics then applying alcohol inks.
Response: Thanks for the 5 and heart. I'm glad everything about her was pleasing. The gloss on the eyes was last minute "I wonder if ..." after I got a new "toy". :) Very fun to make.
Response: Thank you for the compliments. So glad that you enjoy it!
Response: You're welcome. Thank you for the heart. I'm glad you enjoyed my fairy and that she got there safely!
Response: You're welcome and thank you for the heart. I'm really enjoying the ATC size--I can push the limits of my own techniques while not spending months on a project. :) This one was cool because my original plan failed, so I had to adapt.
Response: The texture gels are often hidden in the art section with the acrylic paints. I like to add them to things I am working on right now. Glad you enjoyed! And thanks for the swap compliments.
Response: No worries--I just like to check in after a couple weeks on international swaps in case the ATC gets lost. So glad the card arrived! Happy swapping :D
Response: So glad you enjoy. If you are trying them for the first time, you probably want a craft mat (they permanently color EVERYTHING, hehe) to protect your work space and some blender. I drop the alcohol inks on the coated card stock and either apply blender with a pad (a soft, more uniform look), or dribble blender on the paper and "drip" the inks back and forth (a more chaotic, maybe natural effect?). And, it is hard to mess up with them, as you can punch out shapes and everything else to use on different projects.
Response: I used a special Micron pen called Microperm. You can find them online, but I only found them in the store once about 5 years ago, and now have a better reason to use them than Christmas ornaments (which I haven't made for 3 years, lol). http://www.sakuraofamerica.com/Pen-permanent-ink
Response: Glad you like him.
Response: So glad this one made it. Bet the other is lost in the postal sea, never to return.
Response: So glad it made it and you enjoyed it! I wish I had more time for swaps this semester, as they seems to get my creative juices going--then of course, I must go back course work.
Response: So glad you enjoyed them. I especially enjoyed working with the Little Mermaid one.
Response: So glad you enjoyed. I rather forgot to scan her, so it is very good she made it there safe and sound. :)
Response: So glad you love it. Hope you find some of those inks to play with.
Response: Glad you liked it. Sorry I have been so slow to response. I hope my directions give you the chance to try the technique on some of your own swaps!
Response: I am so glad it made it safe and brightened your day. I knew it would be a matter of time before we swapped in the Legendary series and I'm glad it was the phoenix swap. I got to try a lot of new things for your card. I wish I knew how I got some of the subtle bubbles and dots in the inks. I was playing with the inks and seeing what patterns I could get with warm, phoenix colors.
Response: My crazy man is running around my feet right now. Glad you enjoyed--I am always looking for excuses to draw ferrets. :D
Response: The holidays had us all busy! I understand. Glad you enjoyed the ATC--it was a fun break from the end of semester crunch :D.
Response: She really must get excited about travelling to do backflips in her jar. So glad she made it safely, if upside down and sideways.
Response: I am so glad to see you enjoyed it! It was interesting to make two different cards under that theme (I wanted double the challenge I guess).
Response: So glad you enjoyed it! I thought it would be fun to hand draw all 8 items as a challenge. I love challenges like this :).
Response: So glad this one made it safe and sound.
Response: Uh oh, you got the stag before the November Sender's Choice .... Mail don't fail me now! >_< Glad you liked the stag, though. Let me know about that other ATC--I will obviously resend if it doesn't get there.
Response: I felt I had to do something extra special, since I sent late. Its not a pattern I want to set! Glad you enjoyed both "cards". I love making both kinds. I'd love to do a private swap--after the semester. I have to wrap up these early December swaps this weekend to kick it hard on group projects. :D
Response: Oh, so glad you liked! This cold snap hurt today. Time to start being inspired by snowflakes to ward off the inevitable. Funny thing about FMA, I think that was the mangaka's first manga.
Response: Oh, glad he got to you! So glad you like him! He is well beyond my usual mixed media. :D
Response: So glad you liked it and that it arrived so quickly! I always worry about it taking too long when I send outside the U.S. (and sometimes, when sending in the U.S.).
Response: You're welcome. She was totally fun to draw. The paper is some Chiyogami I picked up in Japan in 2005. I have some slated to use in my Japan scrapbooks, but I've already made pages with those two sheets so thought I would share some since you like it too :). I wish I had the chance to go to a Chiyogami shop, but if I'd done that I'd really be broke!
Response: You're welcome. That was a lot of fun to make. Trying to create transparency in an inked illustration is an interesting task! Glad you liked it. :)
Response: You are welcome! I love mixing media--so much easier to get new effects or effects I want (in this case, there was some serious experimenting). Glad you liked it.
Response: You're welcome. Making something I wanted to send was a challenge for this swap. Some of my ideas didn't scale well onto ATC size. Glad you like it.
Response: Glad you like them! I forgot to scan them for my Flickr, I was in such a hurry to send them to you! :D
Response: I think there's no way to not arrive at a pun when rating this swap! I'm glad you enjoyed. I'm glad you enjoyed, it was a bit on the "experimental" side for me, with eyelets, colored cardstock, and pastel drawing. :)
Response: I am so glad you a thrilled! Although I've heard a lot about BLEACH, I've not yet had the opportunity to watch--so I was totally worried about doing the characters justice! I will definitely have to check into that anime and manga!
Response: You're very welcome. Those two invented their own style as I drew them and then the story just came out! It was so much fun to make them for you--glad you enjoyed. :)
Response: Thank you for your kinds words! They were a wonderful break from readings on theory and work on computer based designs last weekend. Cats were a great change of pace!
Response: Aw, thank you so much. I am missing my family's cats right now and it was just so nice to draw some feline friends. Glad you enjoyed!
Response: So glad to hear you enjoyed it (and your daughter too). It only seems fair to write notes with ATCs (they take up such a small part of the envelope!) Thanks for the compliments and so glad to hear that the card got there (and quickly).
