ATC - Background Paper Swap

any chance we could make them atc size. i cut down most of my paper pretty fast.

I think this is an awesome idea. I have not get them precut, but awesome papers, so I will do this, watch the swap and if I get to the cutting the papers, then I will join.

I always make 2 identical cards....1 for my partner and 1 for my collection. So if possible I would like 2 of each paper. I hope this does not sound rude or ungrateful......just practical.....LOL

@SMackie Great idea! I haven't cut my papers yet so I will use this idea. This could be a good suggestion for everyone to consider.

Is there a difference between ATC background papers, and just regular wonderful paper? Just wondering.

@trula - Nope! No difference in the paper but the size of the paper is what matters. Make sure you cut your papers down to the correct size so it is ready to be used for ATC's.

Standard ATC size: 3.5 X 2.5. (4 X 3) would be a good size.

Can they be larger than 4x3? I have some lovely paper that's about 6x6, and I'd like to include some of it if possible.

I ask because some of it has more than patterns (butterflies, flowers) and I'd hate to cut it and end up cutting where my partner wouldn't want it

@smadronia - Sure I understand sometimes the whole pattern is chopped off in a 4 X 3. Just communicate that to your partner, I don't think he or she will mind. Sometimes in order to see the whole picture it has to be larger.

Are these supposed to be handmade? I would love handmade backgrounds as opposed to scrapbook papers cut to size, unless the papers were special i.e. treated in some way.

I'm a horder of art magazines. Many have great abstract art that I cut down. Is that cool or a no no.

@indygirlfriend - The background papers can be handmade, it's really the sender's choice. Most of the swappers will most likely send designer scrapbook paper. That's what I have, you never know who has speciality paper. I have lots of speciality paper, meaning shiny, glitter, texture and metallic. But I normally send an assortment. Hope that was helpful.

@sillysusie - Sorry, no magazines. I would love to do a swap like that I have lots of abstract backgrounds that comes from children books. I don't order magazines anymore. : (
