Flora/Fauna REDWORK R#1 --1 REDWORK quilt block --1 partner --use only one color red on each block --finished block 6 ½†--embroidered area approximately 5 ½†leaving a seam allowance --any Flora and or Fauna theme-senders choice How about swapping some REDWORK embroidered quilt blocks? That sounds good to me and ohsewaddicted, so let’s do it! Your base fabric should be white, off white, pale cream or as light a tan as you can find of 100% cotton fabric. After embroidering the quilt block, cut your base fabric to 6 ½â€. Use only one color red per block, picking any flora and/or fauna theme you want to embroider on it. Do your best neat-&-clean work, iron the block, package it nicely and send off to your partners along with a note stating the swap name and your name. Note: The BLUEWORK quilt block swaps call for smaller blocks than the REDWORK swaps, so be sure to cut these to a full 6 ½ inches after embroidering. We will have at least 12 of these swaps, and possibly 16 if interest continues. I will angle this swap but will publicize any flakers. Questions and concerns are always welcome. |
