I'm a crafty, curly, so-cal girl. Love my hubby, my yellow lab dog, and my family. I used to play volleyball all the time, but recently I've gotten lazy. My education background is in food science and nutrition.

All things rock: indie, alternative, classic, new wave. Old jazz is awesome too. Beatles, Zeppelin, Weezer, Minus the Bear, Scissor Sisters, Jimmy Eat World, Pink Floyd...

I hate to admit, but I watch entirely too much tv. Couldn't even count how many shows I follow... Bones, Community, The Office, United States of Tara, America's Next Top Model, True Blood, The Good Wife, Project Runway, Top Chef.... I could go on but I won't.

I love to sew/quilt, embroider, photograph, garden. Making birthday and xmas gifts is the best (or buying homemade/handmade items), it's just so much more meaningful than buying a tshirt off the rack.

Wishlist: Modern fabric, quirky theme fabric, blues, greens, yellows. Reds Reds Reds. Fabric selvages.

*I have an insane sweet tooth; not so much chocolate, but sour fruity candy can not be left alone. *I used to be a tea-only girl (real teas, NOT HERBAL, love jasmine green & chai), but now that I know I can put enough flavored creamer in coffee and enjoy it, it's an every morning must-have. *I adore everything with stars on it. *Favorite color is blue, all shades, and deep cool reds. At the moment I am loving lime green and dark blue combinations, as is evident in my living room and kitchen. *Love mixing vintage, quirky and modern together in my house as well as my wardrobe. *I am an avid recycler, and would rather get something used if it still has life left in it than buy new. *I try my hardest to buy USA-made items, but it's pretty hard to do sometimes. *I hate to admit it but I would rather hang out with animals than people, if I had my choice. *I am a vegetarian (ovo-lacto-pesca-tarian to be exact). I don't get grossed out by seeing meat or being around it, I just know too much about how things are raised/fed/handled to let myself eat it. We try to buy as much organic and local items as possible. *I am not religious in any way. Please DO NOT send any biblical references.
