I'm one of those paper freaks - I could spend hours in one of those specialty paper shops and not realize I had just wasted an entire afternoon.
I love washed out colour palettes, earth tones, I'm a sucker for oranges and browns. I love love love vintage ephemera, old paper and the smell of second hand bookshops.
Apart from paper I also love knitting (I'm terrible at it), and soup (I've been known to order the dinner special just because it comes with soup) and old biology textbooks.
Oh, and if scarfs didn't exist I would most certainly have a perpetual cold.
Too many to list, but my most recent love affair is with Ingrid Michaelson.
Anything by Christopher Moore is worth reading, but my favourite by far is Dirty Job, absolutely brilliant if you appreciate a dark sense of humour.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams.
The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster for nostalgic reasons :)
The Alien Trilogy (yes, I said trilogy - there is no 4th alien movie I'm willing to admit exists). When I grow up I want to be Ripley, but slightly more open-minded ;)
Dangerous Beauty
Willow (no, seriously)
Amelie, because sometimes the smallest actions by a stranger can mean more than the big ones from the people we know.
Big Bang Theory, best show ever if you want to get your geek on.
And my secret shame, So You Think You Can Dance - please don't tell anyone :)
I love cooking. Cooking and baking. Cooking with a recipe is fun, but making up recipes... that's even better. And sometimes they even taste good too...
Apart from cooking I also love photography, graphic design, knitting (despite my lack of skills) and drawing.
One day I want to learn pottery and stained glass. And if ever I live in a place that has a plot of land larger than a bathtub I'd love to have a kick-butt garden.

Notecards To Go group has lots of fun new swaps. Perhaps we can tempt you?
Hey! Haha, I've had that happen before! You're sure you put everything in the envelope and then find that OOPS you missed something lol. It's no biggie! I'm sure we'll get partnered up again at some point. I plan on being around this site a lot. I'm addicted. I was warned that would happen and it has. I really appreciate you making the postcard for me and I can't wait until I get your letter. I'm incapable of leaving a letter unanswered, so be warned: You'll be getting a reply. No pressure to write back though! Anyway, I'm turning a comment into a letter, so I'm gonna go. lol

Hi there,
Just read your profile, you are a very cool person. Just vetting you for the "I will take a risk Newbie PP swap". Be afraid, just kidding.
Doesn't paper smell devine?
I think I have met several Sheldons but never a Ripley, although we do have a ginger cat.
If you ever want to do a private swap of an envelope of goodies, (paper, recipes, photos and stuff) let me know and I can set it up. ( You get rating that way).
Best Wishes, Kay, a freak knitter from the southern hemisphere
