I love sewing; I have been sewing for about twenty years. I have more fabric than I know what to do with.... I find happiness in sewing clothes for my daughter and for my family. It gives me a sense of accomplishment when I present handmade gifts to my loved ones. My husband surprised me with a Brother Limited Edition Project Runway Sewing/Embroidery Machine - YEAH!!! I am so excited. But, I will still use my 10 year old Babylock.
I am starting to knit; this takes more time, but seems to relax me.
I am truly a helpless romantic; I love romantic movies. I am in love in being in love...Here are just a few of my favorites: The Prince of Tides; A Walk to Remember; Beaches; Bridges of Madison County; An Officer and a Gentleman; Pretty Woman; The Notebook; The Thorn Birds; and Steel Magnolias.
Just a few of my favorite television shows include the following: Project Runway, Fashion Star, It's Sew Easy, Parenthood, Amazing Race, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Bones, Scandal, Top Chef, Royal Pains, Glee, Unsung, Next Great Baker, Cake Boss, Veronica Mars, 48 hours, Restaurant Impossible, Kitchen Nightmares, Food Network Challenge, and the Good Wife. I just started watching Downton Abbey - what a great show!
I am a married mother with a soon-to-be 20 year old' child' who is away in college. So, I am trying to more craft projects to keep my mind off missing her. I am a woman about my word - honesty first and foremost.
THINGS I LOVE TO DO: I love baking - cookies, cakes. Christmas is my favorite time of year because I do most of my baking for family and friends. I especially like to try out new recipes - specifically, baking items. I love making people smile. I so enjoy reading and spending time with my family.
ITEMS I LOVE: things with hearts on them; snowmen/snow people; fabric; sewing machine-theme items; sewing-themed items; teddy bears; stuffed animals; ladybugs; butterflies, dragonflies, colorful stationary, themed-post its, handwritten letters (sending and receiving), colorful pens and different colored ink.
FAVORITE COLORS: reds, purples, yellows, and oranges.
LIKES: colorful flowers; lip gloss (mostly clears, hint of color), chocolate (but, I am not a big candy eater); Teas (flavored, hot and iced tea - can't get enough Snapple!); hot chocolate.
DISLIKES: the color pink or wearing all black; anything goth-like; and scary movies.
Swapping': If for some reason you don't like what I send you, please let me know. I will try to make it right. I want folks to feel as special receiving my goodies as I feel preparing them.

Hi Candigirl.
Yes, I received the post card. I am so new to Swap Bot. I am having trouble locating where to go so that I can thank everyone and provide positive ratings. Can you (or someone) help me with that?
Thank you!
