Hello to all you swappers! My name is Judith, 26 years old and I am a student and social worker from the Netherlands. I live in the wonderful city of The Hague, close to the sea. When I am not working or at college, I love to sew, read and go to vintage stores, thrift stores and flea markets.I love spending time with friends, going out for drinks, go for long walks on the beach. I am also a big fan of lazy sundays... Just staying in with movies, hot chocolate, good food and a pile of magazines.
Garden State
Into the Wild
Breakfast at Tiffany's (who doesn't love this movie??)
A love song for Bobby Long
How the Grinch stole Christmas (I even watch this in summer)
I mostly read books about living green, for example 'It's not easy being green' by Dick Strawbridge.
I also love vintage children's books, because of the sweet stories and the beautiful illustrations. Favorite series of children's books must be the 'This is ..' series by Miroslaw Sasek. Each book is about a different city or country and Sasek tells in a really funny way about the highlights of the city/country.
Most of my creative time is spent sewing. I am not very good in the clothes making department, but I like to sew little (more easy) things like pillowcovers and bags. I love to use vintage fabric and buttons for my projects. Currently I am busy making fabric hearts and felt toadstools for my Christmas tree (yes,I know it's only the beginning of October). I moved house not so long ago, so I am into anything that has to do with making my appartment pretty. I also love sending letters to friends and family, so I am always on the lookout for vintage stationery. Envelopes, postage stamps, old cards... Learning to knit and to crochet are on my to-do list at the moment. If I could only find the time...
Things I like:
fabric, buttons, beads, ribbon
vintage playing cards
stationery
arigurumi
chocolate
pencils
stamps
bird illustrations
anything with polkadots
pearls
felt
old maps of exotic places
apple shaped jars/boxes
anything with apples
Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane tea. If you can get me this, you will be my lifelong hero!
Things I don't really like:
anything to do with scrapbooking
stickers
coffee
cartoon stuff, Disney, Hello Kitty, etc.
But I am quite sure I will like anything you will send!
