I am a wife and mother of 3 (boy, girl, boy). My husband is a US Marine, while I stay at home with my kids. I love doing things with my kids, so anything kid-friendly I'm all about. I have a 6 yr. old, a 3 yr. old and my youngest is 18 months. I spend all day with my kids (and now that it is summer that means...ALLLLL D-HAY!), so often find myself looking for an escape from the mondain (and slightly insane). Just discovered Swap-bot through a friend and am excited to get started.
I love Christian Contemporary, but listen to a little of everything (as long as I can listen to it with my kids). In my house we usually have country in the background, if not blasting the good ol' 80s rejects.
Where do I start! No real "favorite" book, but I love to read with a passion that is not normal for most people. I volunteer at my church's library so got plenty of Christian literature at hand, but am not opposed to the best sellers or classics.
I graduated from the University of South Carolina (the original USC) with a bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, dual emphasis in English and History. I live in a little military town and have most my life, since my father was a career Marine as is my husband. Don't know what else to share, but am sure I'll think of some things as I get more involved.
Don't have many favorites of anything, but I am going to try to think of a few "preferences". I like the colors purple (all shades), black and silver--and usually all together. I like subtly fragranted things--candles, dried flowers, potpourri, scented cards, lotions, stuff like that. I am not so crafty, but like "themes" so when it came to decorating my kids' rooms, as creative as I got was handmaking their wallshelves, growth charts, and other knick-knacks. I am pretty good at using a jig or mitersaw, not so much a pair of scrapbooking scissors. I am also a writer--love to write as much as I love to read--and have already written on full-length novel of sorts and am working on my second. Anything to do with writing--stationary, journals, pens, etc.--I use plenty of. I am forever writing down ideas for other stories and running out of things to write on. I don't really have any food likes--I'm a bland eater. Just don't expect me to ever eat seafood. ECK! That's about it for now, but I will add more as I think about it.
