I am a collage artist, a crafter, a mother, a teacher. I am also, currently, an Army wife with my sweetheart deployed, so I'm kind of a single parent for the next year.
I have three sweet little boys ages 5 1/2, 4, and 1. I also have an insane calico kitten named Bella.
I am interested in one-on-one quality swaps.
Gone with the Wind, Jane Eyre, the Twilight saga, and many others.
Favorite Genres: Fluffy romances, fantasy, fluffy fantasy romances, fluffy vampire romances, classics, and currently memoirs. I also read a lot of YA literature as I am a high school English teacher and I'm always looking for something new that my students might like.
Gone with the Wind, chick flicks (Confessions of a Shopoholic, New in Town, He's Just not that into you, etc.) BBC miniseries (North and South, Pride and Prejudice).
Sewing, quilting, altered arts, collage, ATCs, jewelry, knitting, and I'm looking forward to learn many other things. So if you have a cool craft that you'd like to share with me, please do!
I love all bright, cheerful colors. I even like browns, blacks, and grays if they are combined with pink, blue, green, or other bright colors.
These are the colors of the rooms of my house:
Kitchen--Yellow and Blue with some white.
Boys' Room--Green and blue with probably some yellow and red. Just cool little boy colors.
My bedroom--Pale pink, pale aqua, and white.
My studio--(if I can ever get it painted) Robin's egg blue, deep red, and white.
--Quality scrapbook paper from K & Company, DCWV, and other nice, thick paper. Not necessarily cardstock (although I love it too), but good paper.
--Rub-ons
-- Good quality Chocolate such as Sees, Lindor, and higher end chocolate. I don't love Hershey and Nestle, but I do LOVE Reeses Peanut Butter cups. However, it does get hot here in the summer, so, if you don't want it to get melted, you probably should reserve chocolate for fall, winter, and spring.
--Cool images and the such for use in collage art. I'd like to have/receive more laser printed images if possible. Or even digital collage sheets, maybe on a CD.
--Altered Art/Collage Art books: I have so many of these, but every time I see a new one has come out,I buy it.
--Easy, easy patterns: I seem to have more luck sewing with tutorials and very simple patterns. I start to get stressed out when I try to use a typical pattern. But I would love more cool patterns for purses and the like.
--Fabrics: Amy Butler, Michael Miller, Alexander Henry, Heather Bailey, Heather Ross, and other designer fabrics.
--Jewelry bits and pieces: Cool beads, quality beads, interesting jewelry bits, things that I can use to make unique, fun jewelry.
--Pens
--Unique, blank journals. I love lined and unlined.
There are things that I don't like, but I will never leave lower than a 5 on a swap that arrives on time and meets the requirements of the swap.
