I like being called Kathy. I'm 60 and I've been working at my dream job for a year in January. And still loving it, with enough time for my projects. I am the administrative assistant with a non-profit organization that works with the Developmentally Disabled. I love getting hugs every morning. I now have several swap-bot under my belt, but I'd greatly appreciate any help one wants to share. My boss got me involved with making quilted cards during spare moments. And now I am getting started on Artist Trading Cards thanks to her. She even gave me plenty of stuff and ideals to get started on. I have three grown children, my oldest is already 41.They have blessed me with delightful grandchildren, four boys and one girl. My first and last Grandchildren were born on my birthday. I am a Christian, and proud of it, but don't do any Bible Thumping, it's a way of life.
Beatles, Light Rock, 50's & 60's, some country and Christian music. Don't know many of the groups today, but listen to the radio all the time. Not crazy about rap.
I read every quilting magazine and booklet I get my hands on. And now I am reading every booklet, magazine article and book regardin Artist Trading Cards. I think I am getting hooked on it already and I haven't finished the ones I've started. Most favorite book/books; The Bible! . I think of read all the series to Clan of the Cave Bear and many of Victory Holts books when I was much younger. I just don't read as much as I used to. To busy crafting. I started re-reading Potatoes not Prozac by Kathleen DesMaisons. Great book if you have mood swings and or addicted to sugar.
TV seems to be on in my home most of the time for noise. I live alone with a little 5 pound white short hair chihuahua named Valentina, and occationaly we sit and watch EWTN, the SyFi channel, NCIS, all of the different Law & Order series. Of course I am usually cross stitch, crochet, make ATC's or fabric post cards, and do more listening then watching.
Crazy about Counted Cross Stitch and crocheting. Used to sew a lot when the family was at home, clothes and stuff. I made a few simple quilts back in those days. Then my Phaff gathered dust until I got started on quilting over a year ago and the introduced to fabric post cards less than a month ago by my boss. Needless to say, she also introduced me to swap-bot. I think I said that already. My Phaff has died, nearly 36 years old, so I finally got my Baby Lock out of lay-a-way, it's called an Elizabeth.
I guess my favorite color is pink & purple (the bighter the better), it's all over my office area at work. My bedroom is in the making, I fell in love with some fabric with horses and I am in the process of making a quilt. Always wanted, but never had, a horse, so I collect horses, or I did until most of them got broken on the trip back up to Oregon from New Mexico. I have collect Precious Moments off and on for years. I am really getting into quilting panels. I just started learning the find details of quilting this past two years. Never seem to learn enough. I enjoy my computer, been writing a journal for over thirty years. I've been told I write in parables.
I try to send out my swap with in the first 24 hours after receiving my partner. Please contact me if for some reason you don't get the swap. If you haven't received a rating from me, don't wait two or three weeks, let me know please. I know how important these ratings can be, and how exciting it is to receive something. I usually make a comment after I rate and make a comment when I've been rated. In enjoy this too much to be a flake. Thanks
I love -- anything with angels, leaning toward nearly anything with Christian tones. I also collect Dolly Mama's. I like clean jokes. Fabrics, Paper, Ribbon, bright and colorful stuff-- for ATC's or Fabric Post Cards and quilting. Trying my hand as creating cards. I believe humor is a must in todays world.
I don't like -- Rudeness, trashy jokes, and flakers. I dislike people with negative attitudes. Not being busy.

Just checking to see if the quiltie I sent you had arrived. I mailed it March 29, so I thought it might have gotten there by now.
Holding your hand across the miles, re: Ema. Take care, Kathy.
