i'm a librarian living in edinburgh since 2005 when i came here to study. always a dedicated letter writer, i've positively sought relationships of the long-distance variety.

anything of the scottish twee variety tends to float my boat-that-i-row.

having moved into the latter half of my twenties, i am old and boring now. when i get to a gig it's for someone i really like, e.g.: allo darlin, electrelane, help stamp out loneliness, the just joans, the magnetic fields...

am also partial to a bit of noir-ish disco a la arthur russell/johnny jewel/john maus.

i've knitted and crocheted since my mum taught me how to make booties and ballerina bun holders. definitely more inclined to a bit of crochet nowadays: amigurumi, cosies, flowers, and anything i think is cute or vintage-inspired. one of my best patterns/creations was a flat edvard munch 'scream' motif which now hangs on our wall.

i am currently embroidering a l.s. lowry print.

unfortunately, my sewing has come to a standstill since my flat is too small to have a dedicated desk/study. sigh...
