About Me

I'm Italian-American, female, creative, aspiring writer, recreational musican/organist,local chorus member, very eclectically spiritual (eclectic New Age Pagan), Lesbian, Nature Nut, Animal Lover (esp. Golden Retrievers & other dogs), love anything & everything Italian, studying Italian language & culture, mystery fiction bookworm, also love true crime, audiobooks, lesbian fictiontc. And that's just scratching the surface with me! LOL

As per stuff I Like, let's see...: Rainbows, Butterflies, all things Celestial, things that Sparkle, collecting recipes (Weight Watchers friendly and other just plain GOOD! LOL), pastel colors (esp. BLUE, which in all its incarnations is my very favorite color) and metallics (esp. Silver), neons, all jewltones, food themed items, angels, faeries, unicorns, accessories for long hair (bows, scrunchies, ponytailers, headbands, etc.), any kind of bath & body products, makeup (especially lipsticks and lipglosses both flavored and not), all things CHOCOLATE, VANILLA, all scents (such as candles, incense, air fresheners, etc. from spices to food scents to florals to nature scents, etc.), audiobooks (lightly used is fine...especially mystery/suspense/horror/true crime,s tuff like that), all things Pagan/New Age/Nature oriented, owls, crystals/rocks, sparkly jewelery (rings, pierced ears earings, necklaces, pendants, charms, pendants, etc.), anything food and drink oriented and/or snackish, anything aquatic or oriented toward water, blue skies, white sand, fluffy clouds, soft rain showers on a peaceful night, hecck, I even enjoy watching and listening to storms just so long as the y don't cause damage or harm, etc. And I really LOVE perfumes, body sprays/body mists, etc. I tend to be in my most noted likes what I can only think to describe as "femme to casual femme", in many ways quite a "girly" type, though I live most of my private at-home life in well-worn jeans and t-shirts and sandals, sneakers, or running around my home barefoot. While I do enjoy very much wearing makeup when I go places, at home, it's all-natural for me, though I'll often spritz myself with a favorite perfume or body mist just because I'm very inspired by a pleasant scent. Something else I'm just wild about is scented candles of all sorts, decorative candleholders, incense sticks, cones, etc. and unique incense burners. I also love pleasant-scented air sprays/air fresheners. I'm also a big holiday nut (all of them, both traditional & Christian-oriented and Pagan/Wiccan) and spending quality time with family and friends. While I'm extremely private and generally consider books my best friends (I grew up a very strong introvert), I do dearly love my family and friends and relatives and wouldn't trade any of them for anything in all the world.

As per dislikes, I can't think of anything really, though poor eyesight makes crafts such as needlework and sewing not activites I'm able to do...way too visually oriented, "close" and exacting...it's hard to explain, but I did not do well at all int hese areas in school home ec classes and had to have LOTS of help to complete the required semester projects for these required classes. Artistically I wouldn't at all say I'm gifted, though I'd love lo learn to do ATCs, homemade postcards, stuff like that. And even though it's small-scale work, I think I'd be able to learn to do decorating crafts like matchboxes, Altoid boxes, and the like, which I've seen listed for many swaps here; I just need to learn how it's done, as I'll be a complete newcomer to thsese activities.

ALSO PLEASE NOTE: Due to my low vision, for any swaps involving writing/letters, that sorta thing, could partners who get me to send to please write, print, or tpye in dark ink? For printing and typing, size isn't an issue, as I have special reading glasses that magnify quite a lot and enable me to read most regular-size print without a problem, for handwriting, please keep it neat (I generally don't handwrite and instead hand PRINT because I've been told my printing is very neat, but my handwriting is rather atrocious) and please, if possible, if handwriting, please make it on the larger size, as I can handle this easier than tiny handwriting. I don't mean to discriminate against anybody's handwriting; I just want to be able to enjoy to the fullest any swaps I recieve just as I want to put my heart and soul into those I make, put togehter, buy, and send. Thanks so much for understanding.

PLEASE NOTE: I have NO KNOWN ALLERGIES, except for cigarette/cigar smoke, pollen, dust, mold & mildew, etc. (The usual junk in the air sort of allergies, but NO food allergies, and I'm NOT allergic to any scents such as perfumes, body mists, bath & body products, make up, etc.)

Favorite Music

Italian, Golden Oldies, Showtunes, New Age, Polkas, Love Songs, Disco, ABBA, Bobby Vinton, Platters, Frank Sinatra, John Denver, Easy Listening, Love Songs, etc.

Favorite Movies

ICE CASTLES, any musicals, CHARLOTTE'S WEB (original animated), anything Disney, Christmas movies, movies made from novels I've either read or plan to read, classics, mysteries, dramas, Mafia flics, etc.

Favorite Television

SURVIVOR, BIG BROTHER, CBS Soap Operas, AMAZING RACE, TV movies made from popular novels, mystery type shows, cop shows, legal dramas, etc.

Favorite Crafts

Freindship books, ATCs, postcards, slams, decos, etc. Very beginner scrapbooking. Photography (very recreational). I also enjoy experimenting in the kitchen (otherwise known as cooking and baking! LOL) and experimenting with indoor/container gardening since I don't have yard space for a regular outdoor garden.

PLEASE NOTE: I'm just scratching the surface learning about making my own postcards, ATC's, and decorating crafts like for swaps that involve decorating matchboxes, making creative kinds of books, decorating Altoid tins, etc. I'm also experimenting and working on improving being able to make and decorate fancy, pretty, creative envelopes,s tationery, etc.

PLEASE NOTE that at present I have no means of burning CDs of music, so until this changes, I won't be signing up for any of the mix CD swaps. :-( However, I am obvouslya ble to PLAY CDs, MP3 CDs that play on my DVD player, DVDs, cassette tapes (I do have a basic desk-top cassette tape recorder and a microcassette tape recorder, though the record quality I get from it does tend to leave much to be desired, unfortunately), LPs, and VCR tapes. And, being a WebTV user with an older "Plus" system, I'm very limited as to files I can open, attachments I can open, audio and video features, and some website features. Just to let everyone know my limitatons electronically.

Comment: Swap date was 6/25, as of 7/31 still showing as unsent. I noticed that ViveItalia has a positive 5 rating from this swap, so assume that must be an error. As far as I can tell this person has never sent anything to anyone.

Comment: Hi Aurora -- I *hate* leaving "1" ratings but I have not received anything for this swap, nor have you responded to (or read) my messages. I will be happy to change this rating if/when I receive something or hear from you. It's disappointing because you were so communicative at the beginning. I hope everything is ok.

Hi, Just wondering if you recieved my recipe swap?

denissetx on Jul 11, 2007:

Ok...hate that I can't delete my comment since I made a mistake...I got her confused with another member, I never sent this person a package but I still think it's sad that people who dont' intend to send out, join a group like this one.

I do hope everything is ok though.

denissetx on Jul 11, 2007:

I'm disappointed. I sent you a nice package, never did receive a ratiing and now I see all this! You've never sent a darn thing!!! How unfair to all of us. This is sad. I really hope people from the other swaps visit your page first before sending out their well thought out packages.

user8235 on Jul 7, 2007:

Looks like one person has perpetuated a lot of scamming here. I wasn't on the receiving end, so I can't rate this person, but it's disappointing to think I wasted time and money putting a thoughtful package together for someone who appears to have deliberately ripped off a bunch of people.

Kelli on Jun 24, 2007:

Me too. I sent you the 'Adjective Infusion Swap' and have wondered why you haven't responded to my email as I had worried you haven't received it. Hope everything is OK with you.

user8235 on Jun 20, 2007:

Hi Aurora, I too am wondering if you got the swap I sent. I'm the one sending the Artist's Date. I put a lot of thought into it...it'd be nice to know you at least got it, even if you didn't like it.

Mel on Jun 20, 2007:

Hi Aurora,

Just wondering if you've received my movie? I sent it over a week ago, and you haven't let me know if you've gotten it - I get worried that it's gotten lost if I don't hear from my partners. If you could let me know, that would be great!

Thanks, Mel

Cloverst on Jun 11, 2007:

Hi, Just want to know if you are sending the quick and easy wishlist swap and if you have contacted your partners about the lateness. Please message me.

Cloverst on May 21, 2007:
