Response: You are right - it was returned for postage and it aggravated me until I realized it was my bad - because I forgot to put an international stamp on it. It just seems like Canada is our neighbor - not international. Hahaha! So I am glad you enjoyed the ATC - it was fun to do.

Response: Yup the scratchboard is of a raccoon. Definitely your daughter will know - hehe. BUT I think I forgot to put the "R" on the ATC - darn it. I realized it right after I put it in the slotted mailbox and I couldn't get it back out. So sorry! Feel free to scratch in an "R". Glad you loved the notecard and envelope :-)

Response: Every time I looked at it, it made me giggle. So glad you liked it enough to be encouraged to try alcohol ink. It is great fun. And I especially like the drama you can get using black paper. Of course you have to put down white ink first and then add the color after that. Good luck. Let me know if you have any questions.

Response: So happy you thought so much of my artwork. It was a joy to make for you. I have never added a bee with the windblown flowers, but I feel like I will be doing it more often. All the ATCs I do are hand drawn/hand painted and if you do that too, I would definitely be interested in doing private swaps. I haven't been on swap-bot that long, so I don't know how to set one up. Sooooo ... I will let you do it - ha!

Response: Awwwwww - you are so kind! I had never even heard of Gelatos before, until an artist sent me an ATC and had used them a bit. So I just decided they sounded intriguing and I ordered some. Figuring out what to use them on and how to use them was an interesting challenge - but gave me a chance to experiment and play. I highly recommend you try them out. :-)

Response: I am very happy you liked the mushroom. It was almost magical the way the gelatos blended. I really did NOT expect that. Almost looks like it was painted with oil paint. This is a heads up that there will be another ATC swap being sent your way soon for the Paint Chip ATC. I am using NeoColor II on the paint chip. They are very similar to the Gelatos. Soooo once again you will be my "guinea pig" on that too. hehe. At least it doesn't seem like you aren't offended by that. :-)

Response: Thanks for the encouragement! I had NO idea how I could use the gelatos that I had just gotten. But then I started blending the colors I had just scribbled on the paper, and wala!!! Suddenly my world was opened.

"Treasure" - that's pretty special to know you feel this way :-) "Windblown" - yes because I use air to move the alcohol ink - mostly from a large bulb or a wireless airbrush. Straws work too in certain circumstances. Also, because they look like the wind is blowing them. I will look forward to receiving an ATC from you when the algorithm gods allow it - ha! :-)

Response: It's so nice when someone says good things about your work - thank you so much! It was fun doing negative painting to create the fall items on the forest floor. It always amazes me how little it takes to makes something appear.

Response: So glad you and Grayson loved your ATCs. The flower was actually created with alcohol ink, not watercolor. Alcohol ink is such a fun product to use, as it does some unexpected things and can get very dynamic.
