Comment: Thank you for the Christmas card and the postcard of Merlion, Singapore. The fountain is breathtaking. Although we celebrate Christmas with church and a huge meal usually turkey. We celebrate the Polish Christmas Eve. We eat Polish foods made without meat-pierogis, kapusta(cabbage soup with sardines) and cole slaw. We also open Christmas presents. It is hard to eat because all the little ones want to open their presents. They have waited all year for this. It becomes one big mess. Wrapping paper, boxes and yes, their gifts are all thrown together in anticipation of seeing what the next present brings. When the children are put to bed, we then go through everything to make sure nothing is thrown out. I know it sounds terrible but put yourself to be a child with loads of presents to open. It is our turn to relax with GLUG-a Swedish drink. You can read my profile to see what it is. Shirley

Comment: This postcard was just perfect! Thank-you! First-we used to have a pure white cat (he died of cancer) and second we had a giant snapping turtle (you put a stamp with a turtle on it on the pc) who laid her eggs in our front yard! She was hit by a car the next day in our driveway (not by us!) and we are guarding her eggs diligently!

She is the *best* cat I have ever owned for so many reasons lol The boys adore her too. I had no idea Singapore was so small! Best wishes in your goal of obtaining your own home. It is an incredible experience and we are very blessed to own ours. It gives so much more freedom in what pets you can own! Blessings, Robin BTW, you have the cutest handwriting!
Response: Yep, we're tiny and very populated so most people don't get their own apartment until they get married. I'm still very far from that right now, so I'll just continue dreaming. Comment: Thank you for the lovely selection of postcards that show off your country.. I visited Singapore 21 years ago and really would love to visit again. Thanks also for the stickers. My son is going to use them to decorate his computer case.
Response: Wow, 21 years is really long ago. Singapore's really different now with all the rapid urbanisation, it would be fun to come back and see the differences. Otherwise, I thought the postcard was pretty cool because it shows the major religious buildings in Singapore that tourists frequent.
