Response: You're welcome, glad you like it!
We're getting the smoke from the west, creating hazy skies. Better that than the fires themselves! Thanks for the great rating. :o)
Response: I'll bet you like that chicken commercial too - the traveling chicken? I love it! Thanks for the great rating. :o)
Response: I wonder if that's what happens to all the socks that go missing? ;oP Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I've always thought cows had really pretty eyes - full of expression. :o) If you lived in SD now, you'd be seeing lots of buffalo. We have them here in MN, but I'm pretty sure the Dakotas have more. I know what you mean about the age thing. I never cared much for kids (except for my own), but now I watch the little ones with fascination, and can't get enough of my great-niece, who just turned 5 last month (She loves the House Mouse pc's I send her every couple weeks, and loves getting mail - period).
I still give teenagers a wide berth if possible! ;oP Thanks for the great rating! :o)
Response: I love lightning too, and since I moved to an apartment I have a huge window (aka: sliding glass doors) to watch the light shows during electrical storms. So far all the storms have rolled in mostly from the west and north, which is the direction my windows face. I love the free entertainment. ;o) Thanks for the great rating, and the compliment!.
Response: I'm so glad you like the "Hooters of Minnesota" pc! Thanks for the great rating. :o)
Response: I didn't have a clue about the head above water regarding sharks either. I wonder if anyone has figured out yet why they do it? Are they curious?
Are they playing Marco Polo? ;oP I'm glad you like the pc, and thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: Actually, it made really good time, because I mailed it on the 10th. The way mail is traveling in the US these days, it wouldn't surprise me if it had taken eight days just to get out of the country! I'm so glad I had a sea turtle pc to send you - thank you for the heart! :o) I hope you had a great birthday!
Response: I wondered about the subject matter of the card and decided to take the chance, so I'm glad you like it. :o) I hope you had a great birthday! Thank you for the heart. :o)
Response: Cats are like that, for sure! ;oP
I'm glad you and your daughter enjoyed it. Thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: I haven't been to a zoo in decades! I'd like to visit our state zoo, but it's too long a drive and I can't walk all over anymore, so I guess I'll just keep enjoying the animals on my postcards. ;oP I think the great apes have soulful eyes. Thanks for the heart, Kathy! :o)
Response: I'm glad you like it! There are websites where you can hear their calls if you're interested. Thanks for the heart. :o)
Response: I wouldn't either - they can stay in their element, and I'll stay in mine! I have to admit, though, the babies are awfully cute. ;oP Thanks for the great rating!
Response: Yay! I don't understand the dislike either, except for perhaps really serious pc collectors. Oh well, it's their loss, right? ;o)
Is Minou neutered/spayed? That always causes them to put on weight, dogs too. Of course, if you know you're contributing to the extra weight, you can control that. Don't fall for those "but I'm starving" looks! 'oP
Thanks for the great rating!
Response: You're welcome, Pam, and thank you for the great rating! :o) Today we are in the high 80's, with rain expected this evening. Chances are good for storms - yay! :oP
Response: You're welcome, Emily! I love these wacky day swaps - it's so much fun seeing if I have a pc I can use. Thanks for the great rating! :o)
Response: If at first you don't succeed.....;oP I'm so glad you like the pc's I chose for you - thank you for the great rating! :o)
Response: You're so welcome! Don't worry, the wolves are more afraid of you than you are of them. ;oP Thanks for the great rating!
Response: You're very welcome - I'm so glad you like it! I hope you're having a good summer. Thank you for the great rating! :o)
Response: I was worried about that, so I'm really glad it's okay with you! :o)
That's the only card of that type I have for MN. I'm hoping to hit a few resorts this summer that aren't very far away, and see what they have for postcards. Thanks for the heart. :o)
Response: So glad you like the card and quote! :o) As for my writing, practice, practice, practice, since I joined Postcrossing and SB, so people would be able to read it. I have a little cardboard helper, too. ;oP Scrat is being well cared for and loved - I think he's quite happy in his new home!
Response: I have a few reproductions (from Zazzle) of vintage music - the covers are always so cool. I'm really glad you like this Chicken Rag one! :o) I like the repro's of old advertisements, too. Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: Also, it's spring for you, and that doesn't provide the required atmosphere for Halloween. If you really enjoy that holiday you could always decorate your house and throw a party. ;oP Anyway, I'm glad you like the skull, and thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I'm glad you're happy with what I sent - it's so iffy when you don't know who'll end up receiving them. Fun swap! :oP
Response: I think so too - thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I really need to check Munch out to see what else he did! I had a sock monkey version of "The Scream" that I just sent to my cousin.
I'm glad you like the bloodsucker, thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I get a kick out of that one, too! ;oP Thanks for the heart!
Response: Wonderful! Thank you for the heart. :o)
Response: That card is one of my most recent purchases, and I really like it - I'm glad you do too! Thank you for the heart, fellow hermit. ;oP
Response: I'm so glad you like everything, as I had fun doing it. :o) As I'm typing this, there's a female Mallard duck who keeps marching back and forth past my sliding glass doors. I think she's spying on me! ;oP Thanks for the heart, Shirley! :o)
Response: I'm so glad you like them, as my theme possibilities are really limited when I can't use my Zazzle cards. ;o) As far as my close relationship with the walkway goes, I'm still having problems with my left wrist. I guess I really should go get it x-rayed - blah! :o( I don't recommend it as a hobby. Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: Thanks for hosting these 'boring pc' swaps that help me get rid of some pc's that irritate me each time I see them! And for the heart. :o)
Response: Does she give you that look when you interrupt her art work? ;oP Thanks for the heart!
Response: Cool! Thanks for the great rating and heart! :o)
Response: I'm so glad you like the card. :o) Maybe someday you'll see Lake Superior, it's amazing! My aunt took me there as a teenager in the mid-60's, and we had a great time waving at the men on the freighters coming in. They waved back and yelled stuff, but we couldn't understand what they were saying because it wasn't English. ;o) The freighters we saw were smaller than what you see today. Thank you for the nice rating and heart!
Response: You're very welcome, I'm glad you like it. :o) It sure traveled fast, I mailed it on the 6th. Thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: I'm so glad you like it - it's my favorite non-Zazzle bear pc. :o)
I love bears (though I have a healthy respect for them - they're not teddy bears, no matter how cute we find them!), and one of my favorite cartoons when I was young was Yogi Bear and his little buddy BooBoo. ;oP Thank you for the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, and thank you for the heart! As for the desserts I listed, I try to stay away from them as much as possible, because I have a tendency to gorge myself on them. :o(
Response: You're very welcome, thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: You just never know, right? ;o)
I'm glad you like the fawn, and thank you for the heart!
Response: Wonderful! Thank you for the heart. :o)
Response: So glad you like it - thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: Actually, he was pretty cool, but his breath nearly choked me! ;oP Thanks for the heart!
Response: After the last pc I sent your way, you'd probably think a blank white card is pretty. ;oP Funny thing, I liked the pc I received for this swap, too. In the eye of the beholder, and all that. I find it amazing when people compliment my handwriting, but at the same time I think my hard work has paid off. Yes, I've really worked at improving my typically lousy leftie handwriting. So, thank you very much for that, and the heart! :o)
Response: I wish I were as flexible as a cat!
One can never have too many giggles - thanks for the heart. :oP

Response: So glad you like the zebras - did your eyes go whacky looking at them? ;oP I got into the series late, but it was fun, and I hope someone will start another one up. My Zazzle cards really come in handy for them. Thanks for the heart, Kathy! :o)
Response: You know that by admitting we shopped at Woolworth's, we're dating ourselves. ;oP It sure was a store full of wonders! Thank you for the heart. :o)
Response: I noticed her tiny feet, too. It's not the first time I've noticed how tiny people's feet were back then, even men - weird! I'd stick out like a sore thumb with my size 11's. ;oP Thanks for the heart!
Response: I'm glad you like it as much as I do! I've often wished I could do that, but it's not in my nature. :o(
Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: You're very welcome, and thank you for the heart. :o)
Response: I'm glad to hear that! When I finish my new system for keeping track of what I've sent each person, it will make it so much easier. Wish I had thought to do it right off the bat. Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: Isn't it a hoot? I got a bunch of these from a fellow swapper (different), and it's going to be fun using them when I can. So glad you like it, thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: Wow, that got there super fast! :oO You're very welcome, and thank you for the heart. :o)
Response: You're very welcome, I'm so glad you like it. Thank you for the heart. :o)
Response: Is that the proper word for 3D? ;o) Aimee, you need to get to the country if you possibly can - you won't regret it if you do. You could maybe have one of the farm animals you so love, and there's no better place to raise kids. Dogs like it, too! ;oP
Thanks for the heart. :o)
Response: You're very welcome! Foxes tend to stay out of sight. I lived in the country for 30 years, and as I think I mentioned, it's rare to see a fox. Thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: Yeah, that doesn't happen very often. Thanks for the great rating and heart! :o)
Response: Thanks for the great rating and heart, I'm glad you're happy with what I sent! :o)

Response: So glad you like it! :o) I'm always amazed at what I can find on Zazzle's website, it's addictive, like Pinterest. I like legends. Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: Wow, I'm glad the postcards have made you a happy camper! ;oP Thank you for the hearts. :o)
Response: You're very welcome, and thank you for the heart! :o)

Response: You're very welcome! Carl Reichert is one of my favorite animal artists. Thanks for the heart! :o)

Response: You're very welcome, and thank you for the compliment to my handwriting - I work hard to make it legible! ;oP
Response: Fantastic! Thank you for the heart. :o)
Response: Wonderful! :oD When I'm buying pc's, I just pick out what I like, and hope whoever I end up sending it to likes it as well. So, we both love 'Vanity'! ;oP Thanks for the heart!
Response: Thanks :o) Our new closing date is supposed to be within the next two weeks - keeping my fingers crossed! Thank you for the heart. :o)

Response: It feels good to have made you happy - thank you for the great rating, and heart! :oD
Response: That's why I like 4x6 index cards for my swaps, and now for keeping track of what I send.
I write what I send on the actual swap cards, but it's not an efficient way of keeping track by person what I sent. I've started that file on 4x6's, and it's alphabetical. At the top I have the user name, then a few lines below that on the right I put their real name and address. On the left, and below the address, I start listing by date what I sent that person. I'm going through my archived swap cards now, starting at the beginning. If a person is no longer on swap-bot and I feel they won't be back, I don't bother making a card for them. I have my profile up when I'm working on these. I'm adding as I go along, not trying to find everything by one person all at once. If I get someone for a partner now that I know I've sent to several times before, I'll go through all my swap cards and get their card up to date if I already have one made up. If I don't, I'll make one. Other than that, I'm just moseying along as I have the time. Sometimes, the old fashioned way is the simplest and most efficient. ;o) I'm keeping them in a box with my archived swaps, but separate.
It'll be a simple matter to add to a 'profile' card at the same time I'm making out a card for a new swap. I already have a profile card made for you, and it's all up to date. These profile cards would also be a convenient place to make notes about the types of pc's a person especially likes, if their list isn't too long. Index cards are easy to staple or tape together if you eventually need more than one - I tape. I hope this is helpful to you. Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I'm so glad you like 'Hollow Rock'! :o) As for your friend's teabag collection, I had just assumed it was all in her house, and was trying to figure out where do you put 25,000 teabags, lol. ;oP What she does makes a lot of sense! Thank you for the heart. :o)
Response: I totally understand your husband's fascination! It's too bad that something so beautiful can be so deadly. Thank you for the heart. :o)
Response: You're very welcome! I'm glad this one made it, and that you love it. :o) Thank you for the heart!
Response: My grandmother excelled at sewing and needlework, so I guess it's in my genes to at least appreciate it. I hate cooking and cleaning - blah! Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: It kind of seems like 'old times'. ;oP Thanks for the heart!
Response: You're very welcome! :o) Sure wish I could see a wolf in it's natural habitat, but they're only up north, and I'm in central MN. :o( Timber wolves are very big! Thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: Awww... you're very welcome, and thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: You're very welcome, and thank you for the heart. :o) That sure did get there quick - quicker than a lot of my mail is getting to me lately from right here in the states. 8 days!
Response: Hey Laura, I'm glad you like the pc. :o) As for my writing, I work at it by writing very slowly - if I didn't, you wouldn't be able to decipher it, and neither would I!
I hope your stamp collecting is coming along. I've kept your address, and when I get all my
'stuff' settled and organized, I'll start going through my stamps, and will be sure to send you some more. Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: A horse drawn cart?! :oO Either you're even older than me, or things change slower where you grew up. ;oP I'm really enjoying this series, and hope another will start soon that accepts Zazzle, and is run by a reliable host - I love the hunt! Thanks for the heart!
Response: Thanks for the compliment and the heart! :o) The cold I can deal with, but the wind was pretty bad today, and I had to be driving in it. I got behind a semi on the interstate and let him pull me along - it saves on gas. ;oP
Response: You're welcome, eepy - I'm glad you like it! I was wondering about the very same thing, and it doesn't look like it could be photo-shopped. It must be a very patient cat!
I kept seeing references to the 'Naughty Little People' cards, so I found them and bought a box. I'll send you one, they're......different. ;oP Thanks for the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, and thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: Solvang does seem like a pretty happy place, doesn't it? I'm sure I'd gain 5 pounds after sampling all the pastries. ;oP I hope you make it there. Thank you for the heart!
Response: Perhaps one must think like a penguin, but who knows how a penguin thinks? ;oP I hope you're getting more snuggle time with new kitty. Thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: I'm glad the resend made it to you, and who knows, maybe the original will show up some day? Thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: I'm so glad you like it, I just wish I could have identified it. Love it's little face. :o) My favorites are bees, ants, moths, beetles, and those cute little box elder bugs that I had to continually rescue from the pet's water bowl and my dishwater. I even have insect necklaces - a beautiful beetle, an ant, and a scorpion. Thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: It's one of my favorite owl pc's, so I'm glad you like it too! Thanks for the compliment and the heart. :o)
Response: My mother is a tough one, for sure! ;oP After being electrocuted in the bathtub, she was on some machine at the hospital, which she was supposed to stay on for 24 hours to keep track of her heartbeat. My brother shows up after 8 hours with their tickets to the Viking's game, and my mother talked the doctor into releasing her - no way was she going to miss that game! Thanks for the compliment and heart. :o)
Response: You're very welcome Jenny, and thank you for the heart. :o)
Response: I thought it would be a good fit for you, and I'm so happy it is. Thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: You're very welcome. :o) Wisconsin is a beautiful state, and yes, it's right next door. And, like Minnesota, it has a large German (and Scandinavian) population. I hope she's having a great time. Thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: I'm glad you like the card - thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: I'm sure you won't regret it when you do. :o) There are so many benefits to living in a building that's designed for older people (though at 64, I'm much younger than the average tenant). And since I'm on the edge of the city, yet so close to shopping, etc., this place is perfect for me. I've just today reached an agreement on my house - sold! :oD One less thing to worry about. Thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: Thanks for rating. :o)
Response: I'm glad I could make you both so happy! Thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: You're welcome?
Response: You're very welcome, and thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: Whew, now I can relax! ;o) I'm glad you like the Lucie Dumas card - they always crack me up.
Thanks for the heart. :o)
Response: You're very welcome, and thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: Unfortunately, some people are irked by the lack of such, and I'm glad you're not one of them. :o) Thank you for the heart!
Response: Have a safe journey! Thank you for the heart. :o)
Response: That is strange - how did the postcard get stamped?! Oh well, I'm glad they reached you, and thank you for the heart. :o)
Response: Mine will be quiet too, except for Christmas Eve, when I head down to my cousin's house - all the fun relatives I'm close to will be there, and it's always a lot of fun. ;o) I'm hoping for nice weather this year, as last year it started to storm just as everyone was leaving for home, and the drive home (about 80 miles) was horrible! Enjoy your holidays!
Response: I'm glad you like the postcards and stamps :o) As far as the cold goes, you'd probably acclimate after a few years. When my niece and her husband were up from LA for Christmas last year, they were wearing knit hats inside the house. ;oP
Sorry I forgot to write the important info on the envelope - I apparently forgot to double-check like I normally do. :o( Thanks for the chatty rating, and heart! :o)
PS - This must have set some kind of record - from MN to CA in 2 days! :oO
Response: That's great! Thank you for the heart. :o)
Response: I'm loving my new apartment!
Last week I even saw a city coyote. ;oP Thank you for the heart, and have a wonderful Christmas!

Response: Wonderful! Thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: You're welcome - I'm glad you like the card. :o)
Response: There have some years that I've felt just like that cat! ;oP
This month is already moving along too fast - Christmas will be on us before we know it. Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: Wish I could still do things like that, but those things are waaaay behind me. ;oP I'm glad you enjoyed both - thanks for the heart!
Response: Oh, I'm so glad you like it! :o) We're getting some more snow tonight, but it will be sunny skies for our Thanksgiving tomorrow, though pretty cold. My sister hosts TG, so all I have to do is show up with pies. ;oP
Hugs right back at you, from Minnesota! :o)
Response: Thanks for rating. :o)
Response: I'm so glad you like them - when my swap partner's happy, I'm happy. :o) Thank you for the heart!

Response: I've never heard of pizzly bears, thanks for the link, I'll check it out! Thanks for the heart too, I'm glad you like the bears. :o)
Response: A cat for a cat! ;oP Thank you for the heart, I hope you had a fun Halloween!
Response: I'm glad it was a good swap for you! :o) Sorry I forgot to add the weather, I know you like to have that. I've been preparing for a major move, and my head has been spinning in circles. :o(
Response: Your very welcome, and thank you for the heart. :o) Happy Halloween! :oD
Response: I'm so glad you like it - didn't think you were the type to want the gory kind. ;o) Thank you for the heart and compliment. I like the little face (jack-o'-lantern?) you made with your comment - it's one I haven't seen before! Happy Halloween! :oD
Response: I'm so happy you do - one is never too old for romance! ;o) I'm seriously considering buying a print of that and having it framed for my new apartment - I love it that much (I'm not one for hanging much on the walls except my postcards, lol). Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: So glad you're happy with them! :o) Have a great Halloween!
Response: Yeah, I think I was getting this swap mixed up with the other blind swap I was in, so, my bad (though I did pm my partners the same day they were mailed to let them know I'd forgotten to put the swap/user name on my envelopes). I appreciate your generosity, and will resend some touristy (without looking at your profile) - it's only fair! I'm glad you like the pc's you received, even if they were not what should have been sent. :o)
Response: Another piece of mail makes it to it's destination! ;oP Thanks for the heart. :o)
Response: Thank you for your generosity, and the heart! :o)
Response: You're very welcome. Thanks for the heart! ;o)
Response: The important thing is that you did rate. :o) Thank you for the heart!
Response: You're very welcome! :o)
Response: I think if I spent too much time looking at that card, I'd be dreaming about it - it kind of creeps me out. Thanks for the good luck wishes, and the heart! :o)
Response: I probably won't be seeing Split Rock, but never say never I guess. Thank you for the heart!
:o)
Response: Do you have a garden, or houseplants? I'd be on the lookout..............;oP
Response: Oh wow, where's the camcorder when you need one? Bet he never climbed into another hot tub, poor guy! ;oP Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: You're very welcome, and thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: A full moon coming, and I have a great view from my bedroom windows. I'm glad you like the pc! :o)
Response: You're very welcome! :o) I sometimes think I should get a kitten for my Buffy, but the senior's apartment I'm hoping to get into only allows one cat. She'll just have to make do with me - I do play 'get the fuzzy butt' with her! ;oP
Response: You're very welcome! :o)
Response: Nature in all her glory! :o) I'm glad you like the ladybug stickers - I have an ant rubber stamp that I like to do the same thing with, but so far I haven't had a partner who says they like ants. ;o) Thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: It's too bad we can't choose where we die - that would pretty much be my ideal, right under one of those trees. Hope you don't think that's morbid! ;oP
Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I thought the same thing! :oP Normally, I'm more into the chest and arms, but they're hidden from view. Thanks for the heart. :o)
Response: I'm always willing to share with someone who shares an interest, so I'm really happy you like the UFO card, as well as the touristy cards. ;o) Thank you for the heart!
Response: I'm glad the pc made it to you okay - I really worry about these traveling ones.
Thank you for the heart, that's very kind of you. :o)
Response: Vicky - yes, mothers are like that! ;o) I'm so glad you like the card, and thank you for the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: So glad you like it, thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: I'd love to have that rock in my yard! :oP Thank you for the kind words and heart!
Response: It's really a platypus in disguise, but she couldn't hide her bill! ;oP Thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: That's a huge relief - I was kind of concerned about the
Zazzle ones. So glad you're
happy with them, thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: Sending touristy pc's to someone in your own state is a scary prospect, so I'm really
glad you like them. Thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you like the card, and I think you'd like Celtic Thunder too. ;o) You can find them on youtube. They do traditional Irish, plus other stuff. Ryan does a great job with 'Desperado', and I like their version of 'The Boys Are Back In Town' better than
the original by Tin Lizzie. Also, check out Keith & Neil doing 'Whiskey In The Jar' with their matching red guitars - excellent! Then there's the official website. Can you tell I'm a huge fan, lol? Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: As a kid I used to have dreams about tornadoes being after me, and once
the Ajax 'white tornado' had me cornered in the basement. ;oP That was a commercial, if you're not familiar with the reference.
I'm glad you like the card, and thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: They are cute, aren't they? ;o) Re: your smiling when you see your beams - I don't think it's sad at all, it shows an appreciation of their age, beauty, and history!
Thank you for the handwriting compliment, and the heart. :oP
Response: Wow, that traveled fast! Thank you for the heart. :o)
Response: I'm so glad you like it, you can never have too many animal pc's! ;oP Thank you for the heart!
Response: I'm glad it made it okay - thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: We have some MD type humidity hitting us this weekend - blah! :o( So glad you like the pc and stamp - Orioles are one of my favorite migratory birds that make my yard their summer home. Thanks for the heart, and stay cool! :oP
Response: 'Muddy' is an awfully cute name for a dog, and I have some ideas as to how it earned that name. ;oP Dogs are my favorite animal of all, and I really do miss having one. Thanks for the heart, it's always a pleasure swapping with you! :o)
Response: A belated Happy 4th to you too! I'd love to see that rock with my own eyes, but I'm not a resort type of person. ;o) Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: You're welcome, I'm glad it made it okay. Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad I could make you happy - thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I think that pc is kind of spooky, but I love it, and I'm glad you do too. ;oP Yes, people raise buffalo here. I even get to see babies once in a while. When I came back to Minnesota back in 1991 (after having been away for many, many years), I was heading to a birthday party when I came on a herd of about 30 buffalo wandering around on the county road. Kind of freaked me out (in a fun way), because I wasn't aware that buffalo ranching had become popular here. I guess they just got loose, then couldn't decide where they wanted to go. ;oP
That is kind of sad about your Red Rock buffalo being so old, but nice that people get to see him up close. I guess I'd try to look at it as him getting a lot more love and attention than your average buffalo. ;o)
Response: You're welcome! :o)
Response: Wolves are awesome! I'd like to see one in the wild right up close, but they'd never let you get that close.
Thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: You don't want to experience a tornado - they can destroy an entire town in no time! Growing up in TX, your mom
should be an expert on the subject. ;o) Yeah, Oregon - who knew? Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: You're welcome! :o) How about if I send the cards to you, and if they're suitable for your collection, and you like them, you could send me a naked card from your state if you like? I'll get them out this week, ok? Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: You're most welcome, and thank you for the heart! :o)
That pc traveled amazingly fast - too bad they all don't!
Response: Yes, it's almost completely healed, and the next one is scheduled for next week, thank you for asking, and for the heart! :o)
Response: Keep your quarter list up to date, as you never know when you might get a surprise in the mail. ;o)
Thanks for the heart!
Response: Funniest rating, too! I'll be keeping an eye on your profile for the changes - it's fun to read. The mosquitoes are out here now, so I'll be spending most of my time indoors, as I no longer have the desire to drench myself in Deep Woods Off - mosquitoes absolutely LOVE me. :o(
Thanks for the fun rating, and the heart! :oP
Response: Neither could the raccoon! ;oP Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: Glad you like it - maybe the first one will show up one of these days, months, years! ;oP Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I know we're not the only ones who can relate to that look! :oP Thanks for the heart. :o)
Response: You're very welcome, and thank you for the heart! :o) Ducks always look so happy, I love being around them. Sorry you had a rough week. :o(
Response: You're very welcome, and thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm glad you like the card - it's my favorite elephant pc. ;o) Thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: Skunks have such an undeserved bad rap! :o( For most of my life I was freaked out by them because I was afraid of getting sprayed, but that changed when I had one living & hibernating under my front porch a few years back.
What fun you must have had with Katy! Thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: Awww, I'm so glad you like it - you can't have a menagerie without variety! ;oP Thanks for the heart, and the compliment! :o)
Response: I sometimes wish mine were so colorful - but they're adorable too, just as they are! :oP Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: It's amazing how obsessed they can become! I guess I shouldn't say anything though, because here I am on swap-bot every day. ;o)
Thanks for the heart, and the compliment! :o)
Response: Yes, I do like John Muir, and wish I could have seen this country when he did! If I had my life to do over, I would somehow manage to walk through every state, keeping to back roads, and trails through the woods whenever possible (the woods are where I feel most at home). :o) Thanks for the heart, and the compliment! :oP
Response: Lady's Slippers are found in open woodland, and a colony of them is really beautiful. Our weather here was cold last week also, and I think you may have been caught in the same snowstorm we had? It moved up from the south/southwest. I'm so glad you like the pc, as it's one of my favorites! Thanks for the heart. :oP
Response: I got almost a foot of snow yesterday, but it's supposed to hit the 60's this weekend - then it's open window time. :o) Thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you like it - a colony of them really brightens up a lightly wooded area! Thanks for the heart. :oP
Response: I'm hoping to see some baby owls soon, since I usually wander down to my mailbox in the middle of the night (sometimes at the break of dawn). There's an owl that either lives, or just hangs out in my big old maple tree out front - I freak it out when I drag out my trash barrel or recycle bins. ;o) Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so happy you can use it in your collection! :oD You're going to love that book - promise. Thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: You can never have too many birds - in any form! ;o)
It would be nice if someone would come out with bird postcards that are shaped like the bird pictured, but I suppose their skinny little legs would get ripped off in the machines? Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I am a mystery to myself. ;oP
So glad you're happy with the pc, and thanks for the compliment, and the heart! :o)
Response: Great! :o) I just saw a story on my local news about a deer that got hung up on someone's chain link fence, and was hanging upside down. The family was able
to get him loose, and he ran off. I think he needs to work on his jumping skills. ;o) Thanks for the heart!
Response: Two more days till spring, and I have fresh snow on the ground, with more to come tonight. :o( I'm glad you like the weeping willow - I like how their branches sway in the wind. No robins in sight yet - smart birds! ;o) Thanks for the heart, and have heart -
April's not far away, and that means GREENERY! :oD
Response: I'm so glad you like it - thanks for the heart! :oP
You get to see so many wonderful animals, I envy you. I'm waiting for the robins to return, and should start seeing them next weekend. The bluebirds and butterflies will come later. ;o)
Response: That's so cool - how exciting to be so close to one! I want to see a moose too, but like the wolf, they're only way up north. :o( Hope you're done with hospitals for a while. Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I love butterflies & lilacs too, and can hardly wait for my 'Belle de Nancy" lilac to bloom in May - when the wind is right, the scent comes in through my kitchen window. Thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you like everything! :oP Penguins seem like such happy birds - I think they're adorable. Thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you like it! :oP I've always loved Victorian houses too, but wouldn't want to heat one either. This winter has been brutal, and I'm really glad my house is little. Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: You're very welcome! :o)
Response: I always read my partner's profile, and when I saw that you like wolves, I knew that's what I wanted to go with. ;o)
And I would rather visit the Yukon than a tropical island any day - any time of year! Thanks for the heart. :oP
Response: Alla, I was afraid you would take one look at those turkeys and go "ewww, what ugly birds", but I didn't have any other birds in snow. So, I'm happy you like the turkeys. :o) I'm always pleased to have you for a partner too, and thanks for the heart! :oD
Response: I wonder if either of those children remembered in later years who gave them their first kiss? Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: Thanks for finally rating.
Response: Thank you for the heart!. :o)
Give that Doxie of yours an extra hug or kiss for me today! ;oP
Response: I'm glad you like it - thanks for the heart! :oP I feel for those of you in the south - your winter has been up and down the charts. At least up here it's been consistent - brain numbing cold. ;o) Don't remember if I mentioned it or not, but Sandford is a home boy - before writing fiction, he worked the police beat for one of the major papers here. I love his "Prey" series, also his Virgil character.
Response: I'm glad you like it - thank you for the heart! :oP We're having a gorgeous day here for a change - it's 32 degrees, with huge snowflakes coming down. I wish every winter day was like this - a sparkly wonderland! ;o)
Response: Wish I could swim underwater like that - thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you like it - thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: And we'd be happy to have you - fishermen (and watchers) always welcome! Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm glad you got a laugh out of it! That card reminds me of getting my lips stuck to a metal pole as a kid (yes, I did it my way, lol). I was stationed in Baltimore during my stint in the Army, and lived in Essex, MD for six months after I got out, so I'm real familiar with the weather there. My first year there they got 1/2" of snow, and the entire city shut down! Civilian workers got to go home, schools shut down, buses, everything! Those of us from the north got a big kick out of it. ;o) I'll take our cold and snow over their rainy, bone-chilling winters anytime - never saw so many people with pneumonia. Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: All of the lakes have been frozen since late December/early January. The people too! ;oP Even waterfalls are frozen. Thanks for the prompt rating. :o)
Response: We barely get a summer here either, but I could live with even less! Sounds like
you would feel right at home here, weather wise. ;o) Thanks for the compliment on my handwriting (I have to work really hard at it) and for the heart! :oP
Response: You're very welcome, and thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: Smart guy! ;o) Back when I used to spend a lot of time in the woods, the only thing that concerned me was running into a bear. I love them, but they do scare me!
Do you remember those 2 girls that were killed by a grizzly in Glacier National Park back in the 70's? Just thinking about that incident still gives me the woolies. :oO
Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I wish I had some in my backyard - it's pretty wild back there! ;o) I'm glad you like it, and thanks for the heart. :o)
Response: I'm so glad you like it - it's one of my favorite bird pc's. Thanks for the prompt rating! :o)
Response: Wonderful! I'm glad you like it. I would have sent a fox, but don't have any fox pc's.
As soon as I read "black cat with golden eyes" I knew your Amelie was a Burmese.
Some refer to them now as a 'European Tabby', but I'm old school on that - they're Burmese! Thanks for the heart. :o)
Response: Coming from someone who lives in one of the most beautiful countries on earth (and home of my favorite group "Celtic Thunder"), that's quite a compliment! On behalf of Minnesota, I thank you. :o)
Response: Laughing is good! If you want to freeze your butt off (of course there's always the heated ice-fishing house), go for it! ;o) Personally, only a matter of life & death would get me out on ice where I know the depth is more than 3 feet, and even then I'd hesitate. I'm one of the few here who doesn't fish, and is freaked out by frozen lakes! The woods are where I feel at home. ;o) Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: Yes, it is - I hope they're able to come up with a solution before it's too late. Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: So glad you like it - thanks for rating, and for the heart! :o)
Response: I realized after I made my cards out that I read the swap wrong, but I don't mind at all. ;o) I'm glad you like them - thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm a sucker for animal photos with captions - glad you like this one! Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I'm glad you like it! Time now to take a deep breath and relax a bit. ;o) Thanks for the heart!
Response: I hope you're having good times - thanks for the heart!
Response: It took about 2 seconds to decide which card to send you. ;o) I'm so glad you like it, thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: Wow - I should have Mama do that for my tank! Sounds like you have a lot of fun in your tank. ;o) Lookiing forward to hearing from you, and thanks for the heart, Jesus! :oP
Response: Happy Holidays to you too - thanks for rating! :o)
Response: The card is an advertisement for a restaurant that serves
animals killed on the roads by cars (roadkill). The animal pictured on it is supposed to be a dead animal, a possum if I remember correctly. It's not a real restaurant, of course, just a funny take on
an all too common occurrence. ;o) I'm sorry for the confusion, I hope it makes more sense to you now. Happy New Year to you too! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you like it - thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: The rock formation is much prettier than the guys fishing
(it's a goofy pc). ;o) I love picking rocks at Lake Superior - it's such an amazing lake. I'm really glad the pc is such a good fit - thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you like the card -thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I'm glad you like it - thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I really don't know how to respond to a 'silent 5'? Thanks for rating. :o)
Response: Dachsunds have the cutest faces in dogdom! I'm so glad you like the card - thanks for the heart. :oP
Response: I'm so glad you like it - I love the owl's eyes on that card.
Thanks for the heart and the compliment. :o) Have a great holiday season!
Response: There are more holiday wishes on their way! Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I love glitter, and love to 'share' it (as long as someone doesn't say they don't like it). ;o) Thanks for the compliment and heart! :oP
Response: That card reminds me of the type I saw as a kid. I'm so glad you like it too. Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: Wonderful - thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I agree - I hate drama too, so this was great. Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I'm glad you find it as funny as I do - thanks for the heart.
:oP
Response: It's always fun picking out a card for you! ;o) Thanks for the heart!
Response: Wonderful! It's fun to make children happy. ;o) Thanks for the heart!
Response: Nature always sidetracks me, forget trying to read outside! I'm so glad you like the card - thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: You're very welcome! I hope Kris Kringle is very good to you and your family. ;o)
Response: Every pet should be so lucky to have someone like you and your husband in their lives! Thank you for the heart. :o)
Response: I'm so glad you like the card -it's one of my favorites. I used to collect stamps, but haven't for years - why not spread them around a bit? Swappers can always use a bit of help with postage! ;o)
Have a great Christmas, and thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: So glad you like it. Merry Christmas to you too, and thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: I'm so glad you like it - such a comfy, cozy scene. ;o) There might even be a rabbit hiding behind the chair? Have a wonderful holiday season, and thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I love Santa, snowmen and lots of glitter too (a card never has too much glitter on it for me)! Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: You're very welcome, I'm glad you like it! Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: It's interesting how polar bears became a popular holiday symbol - probably due to the Coke commercials that featured them this time of year. I love them, and I'm glad you do too! Thanks for rating. :o)
Response: So sorry you didn't like the card! Thanks for rating. :o)
Response: We had some snow earlier this month, but it warmed up and melted, so now everything is brown and kind of ugly looking. Can't wait for a good snowstorm! Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: So glad you like it - I think albino animals are always so pretty! Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I'm so glad you're happy with the card I sent, and that you had a great mail week! Thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: My sister is getting a Christmas card from me with chickens watching for Santa, and she's going to love it. I'm glad you're happy with the card & sticker - thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: Florida is a state I will never visit, for 3 reasons - the heat, the humidity, and the mosquitoes! We have enough mosquitoes here
(due to 11,800 lakes, plus wetlands, etc.), and while we have our humid stretches, it doesn't compare to MD & FL. As for the heat, when the temp reaches 83, my a/c goes on! I'm glad you like the card, thanks for rating. :o)
Response: I just bought a bunch of them for such situations. :o) It often takes 2 days for the pc's to my sister to reach her, and she's only 40 miles away! Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: A few years ago in late fall I went out on my porch one night for some air, and there was a skunk munching on the chipmunk food I keep there (they also had their own little bowl of water). I didn't realize it was there until I heard the munching - it was no more than 3 feet from me!
I started talking to it softly, and spent a good 15 minutes
waiting for it to freak and spray me. But it just kept on eating and drinking. Then I slowly got up and went back inside. All I could think of the entire time was that I didn't have any tomato juice in the house! I was surprised at how calm it was, though I had talked to it before earlier in the evening when I was on the porch. It had been out in the driveway, and then came over and started to climb the stairs of the porch. I said "please, please, do not come up here!", and it turned around and went back to the birdseed in the driveway. I guess it decided I wasn't a threat? I read recently that they can only spray 8 times in their life, and so save it for very serious threats. I don't keep food and water on the porch floor anymore - it's up where the chipmunks can go, but the skunks can't! Even so, I love skunks! I'm glad you like the card - thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: That's exactly what it is, and I'm so glad you like it! I love the new Sherlock Holmes show, though not as much as the old Basil Rathbone movies. ;o) There's more on my table, I just ran out of room to write! Thanks for the heart. :oP
Response: I'm glad you like it! Thanks for rating. :o)
Response: Wow, I don't know how I missed this rating (I always reply)! :o( Every year I tell myself I'm going to hit some of the food festivals around here, but I never seem to make it. I bet the potato or corn festivals would be a hoot. Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I'm glad you like them both. :o) Small towns and the countryside are the best!
Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: It will end all too soon. :o( Thanks for rating! :o)
Response: That would be a mighty big worm! :oO That's so funny, I hope Jesus wasn't too put out over the remark? Thanks for the heart! ;oP
Response: I'm not sure what a guy dancing with moose and loons is supposed to convey about Minnesota, but I think it's cute too. I'm glad you like it - thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: Wow - good timing! That's pretty cool that you have a Minnesota connection, and then there's the WARN thing. ;o) Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I love those little brats too! Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you like it, as it's sometimes hard to know just how "spooky" someone likes their pc's. ;o) Hope you had a good time passing out treats to the kids! Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: You're happy = I'm happy. ;o)
Thanks for the heart!
Response: I'm so glad you like it - it seemed a good fit for you. ;o)
It's the work of artist Nada Meeks of Florida. There's also bat's blood, zombie rules of etiquette, frog skin, to name a few. She has a store on Zazzle, plus a website. Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm glad you like it - thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: I'm so happy you like them! I love touristy pc's, but I can only get them locally at one truckstop, so there's not much variety. I just had to get that raccoon stamp, as my family nickname is "raccoon woman", or just "the coon". ;o) And I'm "Coonwoman" on Postcrossing. If you ever have to send to me in a swap for touristy or animal cards, please send me one with a raccoon on it if you're able! I can't get one around here. :o( Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: You're very welcome - I'm so glad you like it! I'm sorry this month is almost over - the winds of November are on their way. :Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I love your swaps! :oD I'm glad you like the rabbit - the other is traveling and should reach you soon. Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: We have the lakes - you have the Badlands, and Sturgis! ;o) I'd love to visit your dinosaur museum one of these days! Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: Burmese cats are so beautiful! Happy Halloween to you too, and thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: Thanks for rating. :o)
Response: I'm just sorry I didn't have another Calamity Jane to send. :o( One heart is absolutely wonderful - thank you, Kate! :o)
Response: Not all witches are old and ugly, right? Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: You're very welcome! You have a great photo album - lots of good times. ;o) Thanks for the heart!
Response: Thank you for rating! :o)
Response: Me too! I had a favorite on my grandpa's farm, a black-face ewe named Jenny. She was so sweet! Thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: Wow - that got there fast! I'm so glad you like the card -I love lizards too, and sure would like to see one of those in person. Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: That butterfly stamp is one of my current favorites, so I'm glad you like it too! I'm "wordy" ;o) Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you like it! I like to squeeze as much as I can onto a pc, and there never seems to be enough room!
Thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: Just when things were starting to get wonderful weather-wise, it's warming up to the low 70's again this week. :o( The sugar maples desperately want to show off - I must be patient! Everything is running late this year - late winter, spring, summer, and now fall. Mother Nature does her own thing. Thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: You're happy, so I'm happy too - thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: What a cool name for a German Shepard! :oP Wolves have a special place in my heart also, and when I saw your board I knew right away what I would send. I love it when I can look at someone's Postcrossing favorite's wall, or Pinterest boards! As for Vincent, I didn't realize the range of his work until I saw your board. What a fun day you must have had at the museum! When I was 12, my best friend and I would often ride our bikes down to the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, and spend the afternoon there. They had a fountain there too, where people would throw coins in and make a wish - sooo tempting! ;o) Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I just read the book review for "The Golden Compass" (similar to the beliefs of many Native Americans, and other indigenous peoples), and if any animal represented me, it would have to be a dog, or maybe a raccoon - perhaps a "doccoon"? ;oP Of all animals, I'm most like those two, and especially relate to dogs. I have a lot of the traits of both animals. Dog - because I love to have fun and just hang out with my "pack", I'm extremely loyal to family & friends, and
I have a very protective nature. Raccoon - I'm resourceful, often silly, and extremely curious. Both - if I feel threatened, or someone poses a threat to my family (and that includes the non-humans), I I will turn all hell's fury on you. Funny thing is, you don't want your dog messing with a treed raccoon - ever! :oO As for freaky - who's to judge? If I ever get caught up with my reading, I just might check out that trilogy, as I sometimes read fantasy, and like fantasy tv and movies. I'm glad you like the pc, and thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: And people here will grill outdoors in the middle of winter. ;o) I love Minnesota weather - it keeps you on your toes! Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: Wouldn't it be nice to be as carefree as those puppies? :oP Thanks for the heart!
Response: It's a relief that you like it - not everyone is up for looking at intestines! ;o) Thanks for the heart!
Response: Thought I'd pluck an idea from your Postcrossing favorites - I'm really glad you like it. ;oP I love my backyard (wild and overgrown as it is), except during deerfly season. :o(
Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm glad you like the card, and my handwriting. :o) But my handwriting is deceitful! I have to use an old pc as I'm writing to keep my lines straight. Then I have to go back and fill in the loops below the line. If I didn't, my lines would be diagonal! But thanks for the compliment - it makes the extra work worth it. ;o) Thanks for the heart!
Response: That card was the first license plate pc I've seen - I wonder how many cities and states there are floating around? Just keep in mind that more cows may end up in your mailbox one of these days. ;oP It's an absolutely gorgeous day here in MN, hope it's the same for you!
Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I'm very glad we met - it makes me happy also. :oD
You should be receiving another one from our private swap any day now. ;o) I'm glad you liked this card, and thanks for the heart, Alla! :o)
Response: It's a tough old tree, for sure!
Slow down, catch your breath. ;o) Thank you for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm glad you like him! :oP Squiggy's tank mate Wally died of old age, and I'm not getting any more fish, so Squiggy is all alone. :o( But I entertain him a lot, so it's probably not too bad for him. I moved him downstairs to the laundry room tank not only because it's hard for me going up and down the stairs twice a day (knees), but because I figured he would get lonely. Now he's down where the action is - at least as much action as a 15 year old cat and I can manage! ;o) Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I'm so glad that they both made it, and you like them! :oP Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: If you're happy - I'm happy! :oD He is adorable, should have bought one for myself. Thanks for the heart!
Response: And I was glad to get you! :oD I don't know about the silver dollar, obviously an old wive's tale - perhaps German? I'm sure my grandmother learned it from her mother - the flipping (head over heels) was supposed to get you on a day schedule when you had your days and nights "mixed up". So much for old wive's tales - I'm 62 and still mixed up! Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm glad you like the pc - I could easily spend a day sitting under one of those trees, just watching nature and daydreaming! :oP I hope you do make it here someday - there's a lot to see and do. Thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: I'm glad you like it! :oP I'm pretty sure everyone who's grown up where there are frozen metal poles in the winter has tried it! I was about 5 when I had my experience with it - I "kissed" the pole, and left half the skin from my lips on it. :o(
Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: You're very welcome! :o) Fall is my favorite time of year also, and the woods my favorite place to be - I used to take my dogs walking in them all the time. I can't do that anymore, and I miss it. Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: Certain animals seem to think somewhat like humans, and I think the more intelligent ones experience a wide range of emotions. Did you ever hear of Lawrence Anthony - "The Elephant Whisperer"? What the elephants did two days after his death in March, 2012 is fascinating, and amazing! It's easy to look up, as it was all over the news worldwide.
I think I've read the story you're referring to, and others like it. Any way you look at it, elephants are amazing animals! I'm glad you like the pc, and thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: I'm glad you like it, as you never know how someone will react to something like that. ;o) Whoever thought
that up must have a really wild imagination! You'll never find anything but real stamps on my postcards. Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you like it - thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: You're very welcome, and thanks for the heart! :oP I never use anything but real stamps! ;o)
Response: I would love to see that tree, but you can only see it with permission from the tribe, and you must be escorted by a tribal member. Or, you can see it from a distance from the water, but there's no way I'm going out in a boat on Lake Superior - it's a very scary lake. Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: You're very welcome! :o) I could have used a place like that to escape to when I was raising kids - couldn't we all?
Thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: Minnesota is a weird shaped state, for sure! That's because it's eastern boundary follows the shores of Lake Superior. ;o) I'm glad you like it, and that it made it in good shape! I'm pretty confident we'll be meeting in the mail again soon. Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you like it, but don't fret - my brain is used to being strained! ;o) As for those Irish guys, they sing as good as they look! Oh, to be 30 again. Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: Those houses may not make the cover of House Beautiful, but I'm thinking they may be very cozy. ;o) I'm glad you like the card - thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you like it! :oP It's nice to have someone I can send art pc's to that's a little "different", I'm always happy to have you for a partner, whether I'm sending, or receiving! Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you like it! :oP Wars have always been fought by women too - just in a different way. They deserve to be recognized for their efforts too! Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm glad you like it. :o) Thanks for rating! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you like it! :o) Yes - Rte 10! I lived about 5 miles out of the town proper, on Old Westport Rd. My ex and I used to joke about living so close to a power plant, how someday we'd start glowing green. So, what did I do when I returned to MN? Yup, I'm 10 miles from another power plant! But this one has hundreds of Trumpeter Swans that spend the winter in the ice free water there. The rest of the year they spread out, and I see them around here all the time. In my book, that alone makes it worth it. ;o) As for my handwriting, it takes a lot of concentration to make it readable (you should see my grocery lists and the post-its I have plastered everywhere - horrible!), and I try to cram as much as I can into the small space. Since I've been Postcrossing and swapping here, my script has shrunk. ;o) Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: You're very welcome - I'm glad you like it. :o) Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm glad you like it! :o) History has traditionally focused on men's achievements, especially when it comes to the military, so when I saw this swap I knew immediately what card I was going to send out. Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: We had a real late spring here, and an early autumn would be wonderful! Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: Wonderful - thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: A happy swap partner always makes my day! ;o)
If I hadn't run out of room, I would have added that I often used to watch the hockey playoffs with my late boyfriend (he was a hockey fanatic - from Philly, so, huge Flyers fan), and enjoyed watching the goalies the most - loved Cujo! And I think I remember Forsberg playing in the Olympics way back? We also watched the MN high school state tournaments every year. Still, football has always been my first love. Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I take it you're not into ice fishing? ;o) Thank you for the star, and the heart! :oP
Response: I'm really glad I was able to make you so happy! :oD Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :o)
Response: 'm so glad you like it! I'd love to see them up close in person, but don't think I'm going to Turkey anytime soon. ;o) I only got into NCIS a few years ago. I got tired of seeing out of order reruns, so I bought a boxed set of the first 8 seasons. I don't have a clue why I waited so long, as I've loved Mark Harmon since his days on "Moonlighting". He really found his niche in NCIS! Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: Without Zazzle, I'd be doing a lot less swapping! ;o) Our weather has been great too, but sooner or later, normal (hot) summer weather will return. :o( Thanks for my 100th heart! :oD
Response: It's always nice when someone else likes my favorites too. ;o) Thanks for the compliment, and the heart! :oP
Response: Wonderful! :oD Thanks for rating, and for the heart!
Response: You're so funny and sweet, and I'm glad you like the card so much! :o) I would love to hear from you, and I totally understand operating on a "different" timetable, as I operate on "Coon" time.
Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I don't do the "send in an envelope" type of swap very often, but you never know - our paths may cross again! Tell Mabel to watch the mail for a card addressed to her. ;oP Thanks for rating, and for the heart!
Response: It was nice to finally have someone I'd dare to send it to! ;o) Thanks for the compliment, and the heart! :oP
Response: You know how relieved I am about that, lol! ;o) I can't wait to see what Zazzle you have for me! Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: Yay - it makes me happy that you're happy! :oD When you visit Minnesota, come in the fall if you want to see lots of guys in flannel shirts & jeans,
the "lumberjack" look. ;o) I wouldn't recommend winter, unless you have a burning desire to freeze your butt off, or go ice fishing. I try to use the pastel post-its, because it's easier to see my writing. They're so much better than using scraps of paper and scotch tape! Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: Boy, that got there fast - it just started traveling on Monday! I'm glad you like it. :o) I love that poem too, and like to think that all my pets are together 'somewhere'. Maybe they will meet, and Xena could introduce Auli'i to Loretta? Thanks for the compliment, and the heart! :oP
Response: I'll bet that's why I've aged prematurely - all my teen years friends must have sucked a lot of my life right out of me! Bitches! ;oD Really, I would often need to shut myself up in my room on weekends, so I could de-stress from all my socializing during the week. I'm glad you like the pc - thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: Minnesotans have a way of popping up when you least expect us, and this one truly enjoys reading profiles. ;o)
I'm glad I was able to help you out - thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you like it - that particular artist has some really nice horse art. I work really hard to make my writing legible, so compliments are always greatly appreciated, as it makes it worthwhile. ;o) Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: No, I haven't read it, but I'll see if I can get it through my library. I love kids books! Not too long ago I bought one at the library about a worm. The title is "There's A Hair In My Dirt!" I bought it for my great-niece, but of course I had to read it first. ;o) I'm glad you like the card, and thanks for rating and for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you're happy with it, and thanks for the compliment on my handwriting (but you should see my grocery lists - horrible!). :o) I love the name of your town! Thanks for rating, and for the heart. :oP
Response: Thank you for rating! :o)
Response: Who can resist an otter? ;o) I wish we had them here! I'm still bummed that the "otter" card didn't make it. :o( Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: I like it because it's different, and I'm glad you like it too. :o) Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you're happy with it. :o) Thank you for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm glad you like it - thanks for rating, and for the heart! :o)
Response: One of the wonderful things about Europe is your ability to visit so many countries without having to cross an ocean to do it - I envy you guys! I love rocks - period. ;o) I'm so glad you like the card and stamps, and again, thanks for rating and for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm glad you like it! Here in Minnesota we have mainly Ojibwe and Dakota Sioux.
Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :o)
Response: I think you're right about those street cats being Burmese - Kitty's wedge shaped head shows that she definitely has Burmese in her. That's one of the markers of a Burmese (who are descended from the Siamese), the others being gold or yellow eyes, and sable colored fur that looks black, unless you fluff it up under a strong natural light. I think their genes must be really strong, because even when a cat is only part Burmese, the markers of the breed usually show up pretty strong. I love the way they're so sociable, and always talking. My Xena used to follow me around the house when she wanted something (usually my undivided attention), just yakking away Does Kitty sing as good as Janis did? ;oD Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :o)
Response: I'm glad you like it! :o) I grew up in Mpls - the south side (the area referred to as the "Phillips" neighborhood).
I love small town life! Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm glad you like it, but I wish the other one had made it. Thanks for the heart. :o)
Response: That's good to know - thanks for telling me, 'll make a note of it!. :o) I'm glad you like the card, golden retrievers are such wonderful breed. I used to have a golden/yellow lab mix named Lucky - he was the dog love of my life. Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: After reading your "Creatures Of Habit" website entry, it seemed like a good fit. ;o) I'm glad you're happy with it - thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad I was able to make you happy today! :o)
However, I think I may have mislead you about bugs. I actually like insects, EXCEPT
for the ones that want to suck my blood, the imported lady bugs, and the teeny ones that come through the screens. And I can't forget flies - I kill them with pleasure! I haven't had too many bites yet this summer, mostly because I can't do my own yard work now, so I'm spending much less time outside. The back yard is the worst, because there's so much growth out there. Any day now, the deer flies will be showing up, and they will come after you right through bug spray! After they've bitten you, you can actually see where they've
taken some flesh - they're really nasty! I don't mind summer as much as I used to, but I am looking forward to autumn. Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: I do too! I found Homicide especially interesting because I was stationed there in the Army. When they mentioned "Dundalk Dollies" on the show, I knew exactly who and where they were referring to. And "the Block", Highland Town, etc.
Thanks for rating, and for the heart - glad you like the pc! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you do! ;o) Cathy Peek's lighthouse cards are all really nice. When I see I have you for a partner, it always makes me smile - thanks for heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you like it. :o) Thanks for rating, and for the heart!
Response: Me too! ;o) I know of at least two others - one in St. Paul & one in Barnum. I'm really surprised you've heard of it, as most people I talk to in St. Cloud haven't heard of it, and they're only 30 miles away. Thank you for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: You have no idea (but will soon) how relieved I am that you like that card - it's a huge relief for me! Thanks for rating, and a special thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so happy you like it! I am wordy, and cram as much as I can onto my cards, lol. ;o)
Thank you for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm glad you like the card and stamps. :o) And thanks for the compliment on my penmanship - I have to work at it just to make it legible, so I really appreciate a compliment. Thanks for rating! :o)
Response: I love having the pond, especially since there's no
pump and filter running anymore (I can't be crawling around on my knees to maintain them). Funny thing, when it had the goldfish in it, the water lilies didn't grow all that well. Now that there's no pump & filter, they're growing and blooming like crazy. Thanks for rating! :o)
Response: Well darn - maybe I should have gone for a timber wolf? ;o) Minnesota has more of them than any other state in the lower 48. I lived in New Hampshire for 16 years, and my last vacation was in Maine - about 15 miles north of Ogunquit. That was in 1983! I loved New England, and really miss the ocean. Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :o)
Response: It's a good thing we were allowed to interpret "water postcard" as we liked, because for some weird reason I wasn't feeling like sending a lake or waterfall pc - I had my beady little brain set on combining an animal of some sort with water. Perhaps it was the new moon coming? ;o) Thanks for rating, and for the heart!
Response: I'm glad you liked it, even though it wasn't a lake or waterfall - we were restricted to "store bought", which is very restricting for me. And I didn't see a special fondness for lakes or waterfalls listed, so I went with the wolf getting a drink of water. ;o) I still think he may have been fishing for minnows because of the way his paw is held up. Wolves will fish for minnows, just like some dogs do. If I ever get you as a partner for a water swap again, I will send something more obvious, lol. I'm also glad you like my little stick guy - that's the full extent of my drawing ability. Thanks for rating, and for the heart!
Response: Wow - that was a long time, but I'm glad it finally arrived!
Yes, small towns are great, and tiny towns are even better. ;o) Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you're happy with the card - ! think it looks like the perfect place to take a leisurely stroll. :o) I lived in New Hampshire for 16 years, and took many drives through Vermont - both are such beautiful states (as is all of New England, and the colors in the fall are so amazing! We have that here too, but not quite as brilliant as New England because of the winds - they seem to suck the color out some. Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you're happy with it. :o) Isn't it amazing how well they train us? Thanks for rating! :oP
Response: I'm glad you like it. :o) Traveling by postcard is better than no traveling at all, and you get to connect with a lot of great people! Thanks for rating! :oP
Response: I'd like to be at a lake right now!
Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you like it! :o) Thanks for the compliment on my handwriting. I wish I could say it comes naturally, but I must work VERY hard to even make it legible - you should see my grocery lists and the post-it's I have all over the house, sometimes I have a hard time deciphering them! We're in the high 80's here, but the humidity is finally starting to drop. My comfort zone is 60-80, anything above that, the a/c is on. I once spent the month of June in NC (about 60 miles from Ft. Bragg), and thought I was going to die from the heat (still, better than Alabama weather)! :o( I'm definitely not a hot weather person. The locals were very nice to this northerner, and I enjoyed the beautiful countryside!
Response: I'm glad you like it - thanks for rating, and for the heart! :o)
Response: I really like that card too - it would crack me up each time I'd see it. Summer here in Minnesota started off with electrical storms and high winds three nights in a row. There are a lot of trees down everywhere, but my old sugar maple out front is still standing! It's so humid, and the mosquitoes are horrible, so I'm staying inside with the a/c. Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: I would love to see that expression on one of the squirrels in my yard, but I don't think anything surprises them much. ;o) I'm glad you like the card, and thanks for rating!
Response: I'm glad you like it - it is different, for sure! Artist's minds never fail to amaze me. Thanks for rating, and for the heart. :o)
Response: I'm glad it made it the second time around, and I'm
very happy that you like it!
Thanks for rating, and for the heart. :oP
Response: And thank you for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: G'day! I've been wanting to "say" that for a while. ;o)
I'm glad you like the postcard, and found it interesting to read. Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: Thank you both for the compliment - I work hard to make it legible! ;oP I knew we'd be "meeting" again. Thank you for rating, and for the heart. "See" you again, I'm sure! :oP
Response: I'm so happy you love it! Yes, I'm sure we'll be swapping again, and I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: I avoid the cities like the plague! St. Cloud has doubled in size since I came home in 1991, to about 65,000, so I don't even like going there anymore. It's all road construction, etc., going on now, so I only go when I have appointments. My postcards come from "Minnesota Reflections" at the truckstop in Clearwater, and from Zazzle.
The places that used to carry pc's in St. Cloud no longer carry them, except for Hallmark, and they only have 7 different. That moss garden in NH really made me appreciate the Japanese style of gardening - so relaxing! There are so many types of moss and lichen - it doesn't have to be boring. Thanks for rating, and enjoy the sun while it graces us with it's presence! :oP
Response: I went to a camp near the Canadian border when I was 10, but never made it into Canada until I was 40. I drove myself, my dog, and cat from the east coast to MN, but took the northern route. The people in Canada were so nice and helpful to me, all along the way! Before that trip, I had never really given much thought to Canada, but I've been a big fan since. :oP When I came down to the states through Sault St. Marie (I hope I have that right, it's been a long time), I asked "how far to Duluth from here?" , and the guy answered "about 8 hours". I was shocked, and asked "how could it possibly take that long?" He replied "well, you have to drive through Wisconsin first". Well, duh! It was a long trip! :o( I'm glad you like the card, and thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm always happy to send out cards of Split Rock - it's very 'photogenic'. ;oP Thank you for the compliment (I have to work very hard at my writing to even make it legible), and the heart!
Response: I'm glad you're happy with the postcard. :o) Thank you for rating, and for the heart!
Response: Saturday night is "homegrown catnip & treat" night here, and even at 15 my Buffy can get pretty wild - she forgets all about her arthritis!. Thanks for rating, and for the heart. ;oP
Response: Wow , I'm so glad you're happy with it - now I'm happy too! :oP Thanks for the heart!
Response: I'm glad you like the pc, and thanks for handwriting compliment - I work very hard, and write slow just to make it legible! I really appreciate the heart, too - thank you. :oP I hope a lot of people here take a look at your art - it's definitely worth it!
Response: Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :o)
Response: Thanks for rating! :oP
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for rating, and for the heart! I'm sorry for the late response - sometimes I am 'stoopid'! ;oP
Response: I'm glad you like it. :oP Each time I see the new North Dakota tourist ad (which is often, since we're right next door) where they say "Lewis & Clark may have invented the road-trip", I think of you. Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: Oh, those machines! :o( I'm thinking about getting a Mailer's Postmark Permit, so as to avoid the machines
most of the time (I'm sure some would slip through anyway). I'm glad you like the postcard, and thank you for rating so promptly, and the heart! :oP
Response: I've read about people growing cucumbers in jars to make a pickle, but never thought it's something that would be done on such a large scale - it does make sense, though. I'm glad you enjoyed the picture as much as me - and thanks for rating so promptly! :oP
Response: Thank you for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm glad you like it. :oP That chimp and kitten look kind of sad, but at least they had each other. When I see photographs like that, I always wonder "what happened to them?". Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you're happy with the cards I sent! I try hard to make the right choices for people, and I know sometimes I'll miss the mark, but it makes me very happy when I get it right. :o)
I will pm you with my address. Thank you for the nice note, and the heart!
Response: Yes, there seems to be this "cow" thing, lol. I'm glad it made you laugh, and thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I've never understood people's fear/hatred of snakes, and more education regarding snakes is definitely needed! I'm glad you like the postcards, and thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :o)
Response: Fishing is practically a religion here, but I found it more interesting to sit on the dock and watch the minnows swim around. ;o) Time with my grandpa was mostly spent following him around the farm, "helping" with chores. I went pheasant hunting with him and my great-uncles a few times, but my focus was on watching the dogs retrieve.
Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm so glad you like it! Boy, it sure got there fast. Thanks for rating, and for the heart. :oP
Response: Me too! I chose it because you work with language. Thanks for rating, and for the heart! :oP
Response: Mine too! And I love to feel the vibration in their neck when they're purring. Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: Yes! That one, and a card with an "Old fisherman x-ing" sign were the only ones I had. I have to skip Y and Z. Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm glad you like it! And I'll bet you're busier than me, because I only have to serve one cat now (a town stray taken in when she was 7 months old), whereas you serve two. ;o) As far as my handwriting goes, it takes a few tricks to even make it legible! But thanks for the compliment, and the heart. :oP
Response: I think cats are born with two special skills - the "So?" look, and the "who me?" look, lol. Dogs just look guilty, no matter who's to blame! I'm glad you like the card, and thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: Carol, when I saw you especially like hummingbirds, I knew just the card for you, and I'm so glad you like it. ;o) As for my handwriting, it's actually pretty terrible, and I use a few "tricks" just to make sure it's readable - but thank you! Doesn't it sometimes seem that when your life seems just perfect, you get a big kick in the rear? Not much you can do but pick yourself up, and carry on. Thank you so much for the nice note, and for the heart! :oP
Response: Actually, I'm not one of those people who think it's a good idea to try to keep wild animals as pets. What I do think would be nice is if I could have a few wild "friends", meaning they felt comfortable enough around me to come close, and just spend some time hanging out together. That's the Dr. Doolittle dreamer in me, lol. The logical me thinks all large, and many small, wild animals should be considered potentially (or most assuredly) dangerous, and shown the same respect you would have for a loaded gun. There have been exceptions - think Dian Fossey and her mountain gorillas, the Adam's and their lioness Elsa, Jane Goodall and her chimps. But exceptions are rare, and too many people deceive themselves into thinking they're somehow "special" - until they're attacked, and often killed, by their "buddies". I don't even attempt to make friends with the chipmunks, rabbits, etc., that live on my property either, because I don't want them to get the idea that all humans are "safe". All that said, I would love to be able to just sit somewhere safe and be able to observe kangaroos in their natural habitat. I'd put up a list of certain animals that I'd especially like to get postcards of on my profile (and I did for a few hours, then deleted it), but I'm afraid that I would then get only them. So, I talk to the frogs, and other animals, and feed some of them, but that's as far as it goes. But if you ever get me for a swap partner in a sender's choice swap, you know what to send! Uff Da -this turned into a letter! Thanks so much for the heart! ;oP
Response: I'm almost speechless, and that's a rare state for me! As you know, I was very worried about sending you that card. I'm truly glad you like it so much, and appreciate the encouragement. Thank you SO much for the heart - it really made my day! :oP
Response: Yes, we do! ;o) The frogs will be in their glory the next several days, as we're going to have a lot of rain.
The trees are leafing out, and the bees are about - yes, country life is good!
Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: Yeah, just watching, and waiting for some action! Glad you like the card, and thank you for the heart. :oP
Response: I can relate to that dilemna personally, having never
lived in an apartment or house that had more than one bathroom. ;o) Buffy has really stepped up as the new "head watchkitty", and I hope she's going to be around for a good while yet. All we can do is love them and hope for the best, right? I'm glad you like the postcard, and thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I like hearing about other people's pets too. My Squiggy is a youngster compared to how long some fish species, like goldfish, koi, and catfish, can live. I'm glad you could use a few of the cards, and thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm sure we'll be "bumping" into each other from time to time. ;o) Thanks for the heart!
Response: I'm so glad you like the card and stamps, and thank you for the heart! :oP
Response: When you screw up (meaning me), you have to make it right. ;o) The zoo would be a great day trip even without postcards. Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: I'm really glad you like it, and thank you for the heart!
:oP
Response: Every time I'd look at that card, it made me think of the pioneer women. Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: Thank you for the heart! :o)
Response: That's what the Norwegian said when he saw the road runner! ;o) Thanks for the heart!
Response: Yes - fresh air and critters everywhere. Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I thought you might, and I'm glad you do! As for the encore,
with my 62 yr old body, I think they've been punished enough! ;o) Thanks for the heart!
Response: I'm glad you like it. Writing the notes is half the fun for me! Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I'm glad you like it. :oP As for my handwriting, you should see it on notes to myself and grocery lists - I can barely read it! See the addition to my profile regarding my "help". Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: Glad you like it! Thanks for the heart! :oP
Response: Cats have dirty looks down to a sciencel - it's no wonder so many dogs are intimidated by them, lol!
Thanks for the heart. :o)
Response: I'm so sorry about that! I had posted in the discussion section for that swap about not putting on the info as soon as I realized I had goofed - hope that's how you found me? I've been diligent ever since! I'm glad you like the postcard, and thanks for the heart, even though I screwed up. :o)
Response: I'm glad you like them, and thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: You're welcome. :o)
Response: Yeah, I'm pretty wordy. ;oP
Thanks for the heart!
Response: I hope the cancelling machine didn't mangle it too much. Thanks for the heart! :o).
Response: I'm glad I was able to help you out. Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: I got a kick out of it too, and hope I can get more of them. As for my handwriting, I'm flabbergasted - no one has ever told me that before. Being a lefty, I have to write fairly slow, or it's unreadable. Thanks for the heart! :o)
Response: And thank you for the heart!
:o)
Response: I'm so glad you like it! As with Postcrossing, a good part of the fun is trying to pick out something the other person will like. :o)
Thank you for the heart!
Response: I'm glad you like it! Unfortunately, along with all the lakes (plus an abundance of wetlands), goes the mosquitoes. We have crazy weather too. I am the lucky beneficiary of 8 new inches of snow in my driveway yesterday. That's on top of the snow that got dumped in two snowstorms last week! :o( I love Minnesota, but where you live is looking pretty good to me right now!
Thank you for the heart!
Response: I'm glad you like it. :O)
Thank you for the heart!
