I am someone who always has to creating something in one form or another. I don't think there isn't something that I haven't tried at least once and when I like something, I really get into it!
I owned my own stained glass studio for 10 years and also showed at craft shows and science fiction conventions.
I tend to enjoy fantasy and mythical characters and watch a lot of Sci-Fi shows and movies but am a sucker for a chic flic...especially tear jerkers!
My kids are all grown and gone, but my DH and I are left with 2 rambunctious fur kids who basically try to rule our lives.
I am currently an exclusive designer for Paperthreads creating die cutting files for personal cutting machines. I have my blog which I update regularly to showcase my work, help with tips and tutorials as well as share little stories about what is currently going on with me!
I love movies that make me feel something and depending on my mood that can vary from one extreme to the other. In no particular order: The Princess Bride, Big Fish, My Life as a House, The Notebook, A Christmas Story, The Phantom of the Opera, GroundHog Day, National Lampoon's Vacation, Star Wars, Jaws, From Dusk to Dawn, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Uncle Buck, Michael, 4 Weddings and a Funeral, Greenfingers, Napolean Dynomite, all Tim Burton projects, Dark comedies like Heathers, etc!
Fringe, House, Bones, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Gilmore Girls, Project Runway, Numbers, How I Met Your Mother, My Name is Earl, Battlestar Gallactica, Beauty and the Beast, Andy Griffith Show, I Love Lucy, Alton Brown and other Food Network Shows!
Reds, Purples, Blues, Black & White and Fall Earth Tones
My least favorites are light yellows and oranges
YES! I love to try everything at least once. I enjoy jewelry making (chainmaille), cross stitch, soap and candlemaking, scrapbooking, making cards, homemade gifts (edible) and fimo. I also knit and quilt :)
I love to receive items that are fun and make me smile. I love items that have been handmade and had thought put into them.
Love Cupcakes, Hedgehogs, Cooking, Alice in Wonderland, Paper Craft Magazines, Reading, Craft Supplies, & Chocolate!
I mostly make cards so I love to receive neat embellishment type items, ribbons, stamps (postage and rubber) as well as rub-ons and decals. I'm trying to get more into scrapbooking so design layout idea's are always welcome.
I'm not hard to please and love surprises!
Raspberry! Seriously...anything that smells or tastes like...as a child before flouridated everything, when we would go to the dentist, after the cleaning we would have to have a flouride treatment. This entailed having a "raspberry" flavored gloop put on cotton rolls (4) which were then put in your mouth between the teeth and gums. You then sat in the chair for 3 days (ok...so I was young and while I have tried to block I know it was at LEAST 10-15 mintues)....anyway...the feeling and taste come back whenever I smell or eat a raspberry....so PLEEEEAAASSSSEEEE No Raspberry!
I send out every single swap that I sign up for and am always excited to hear when someone receives what I sent and really likes it.
I too look forward going to the mailbox and receiving the next postcard, envelope or package.
To that end I Pledge to rate every single swap I am in and to give "hearts' to those extra special packages.
Unfortunatley I have also been flaked on by some people and so in addition to my promise above, I also Pledge to make sure that I rate those persons who didn't honor a swap. I will try to contact the person in case it is a simple misunderstanding before I rate. If the item is sent after the rating, I will go back and mark as received. Please don't flake!
