Hi!
I'm Sandra, 34 yrs old, mother of two little girls (8 and 10), wife of David. I was born and raised in Germany. At 18 I moved to the US and lived in the FL panhandle for 12 years. Now we're back in Germany, but I left my heart in FL.
I've always loved crafts, when I was 11 I used to sell painted plaster pieces I poured myself.
In 1999 I attended a Creative Memories Class and immediately became a scrapbook addict.
I've been fortunate enough to get pages published a few times, and won lots of contests, which allowed me to build up my stash.
From there I quickly ventured out into all sorts of directions....ATC's, paper piecing, altered arts, collage, beaded jewelry, felt patchwork, candle making, you name it, I probably have some supplies for it!
I am a complete and utter craft junkie!
In no particular order, as I like all different sorts:Elvis, country Music, mainly from guys (garth brooks, toby keith, alan jackson, kenny chesney...but also gretchen wilson) and mainly last decadeRondo Veneziano MJ 80s MMW
Heinz G. Konsalik, Heinz G. Konsalik, oh, and did I say Heinz G. Konsalik? Also I like books about disaster...apokalypse, viruses, epidemics....and love the Harry Potter series! I'd also some day like to finish the VC Andrews series.
Anything Apokalyptik, Disastrous or epidemic (Armageddon, The Day after tomorrow, Outbreak, things like that)......The Harry Potter Movies........Anything with Morgan Freeman, Drew Barrymore or Meg Ryan and almost everything with Nickolas Cage (some of his earlier ones kinda suck LOL)........Funny, but not slapstick (i.e. 50 First Dates) and I like Fantasy (I.e. Ever after, The mists of Avalon etc.)
SURVIVOR!!!........Judging Amy....Wife Swap....Clean Sweep.....NYPD Blue....Forensic Files......Wings......Monk......Mad about you........I love Lucy.......
We're poor, so it's got to be cheap to make LOL. I love Papercrafts, Scrapbooking, altered arts....anything where I can find cheap supplies or reuse things. I rather invest my Hobby allowance in tools than in stuff that uses up, so I have a lot of unmounted stamps, paints, inks, punches, die cutting equipment and a comb binding machine. That way I get to enjoy my birthday or christmascash for years. Stuff that uses up quickly such as stickers or other pricey embellishments I'm very stingey with. I save broken dishes and old tiles for mosaics and save all my candle scraps (even from tealights) and make my own candles. I've made one dottee doll and hope to get more time to create more soon
I'd love to get any Obama paraphenalia...cards, pins, any small fan stuff.
My 8 YO daughter has taken up collecting toilet paper (I know LOL). So if you added a sheet or two of whatever TP you have at home you'd make her day! Since most of you are in other countries I'm sure yours has different prints or the "embossed" texture than ours does and she'd be thrilled.
Samples or anything of Vanilla Fields, Exclamation! and Wicked Wahine (I think only available in Hawaii)
single packs of Kool-Aid would make my kids very happy
-Anything Michael Jackson, especially newspaper articles from his death, pins/buttons, heck, anything at ALL!
-ANYTHING Dia de los Muertos...an unmounted stamp would be incredible, but anything ..print, ATC, a dia de los muertos doll, shrine, handmade craft .... would make my day
-vanilla scent, followed by cranberry and mulberry
-inks and paints of all sorts, esp. alcohol ink
-Basic Grey, Chatterbox papers, even small pieces
-LOVE UM Rubberstamps, any and all, but especially ones one can be creative with...time pieces, heads, wings, artsy stuff. Stamps always THRILL me
-collage stuff...papers, stamps, all sorts of ephemera
-Prima! Flowers
-I like gothic/grunge look, would love some ATC's or any other print in that style. Also saw a FABULOUS Vampire Dotee the other day that I just loved
-Embossing Powders and glitters, even just a little sample in a baggie (but please label WHICH it is)
-Succulents and carnivores
-ELVIS anything
-for wearables earth tones, my favorite is chocolate brown, second mossy green. For my crafts I also love loud, vivid colors.
-Sloths
-Pelicans (especially the Florida ones!)
-Quilling paper
-Cut out Alphabets in neutral colors (sizzix, quickutz etc., especially looking for "stiletto"
from QK
-Punchies in neutral colors, especially ones issued in the last few years as I don't have any of those punches myself. I recently got a couple crown punchies that I adore and would love to have more of.
I would LOVE Postcards from the following places/locations:
London
NYC
Statue of Liberty(!!!)
Stonehenge(!!!)
Easter Islands(!!!)
Graceland (Memphis)(!!!)
Panama City, FL(!!!)
Eiffel Tower
Grand Canyon (!!!)
The northern lights
Rio de Janeiro
New Orleans (!!!)
Mardigras
Amish Country
Warren, Ohio (!!!)
Abu Dhabi
Morokko
Africa
The Vatican
Las Vegas
Alcatraz (!!!)
I am very reluctant joining postcard swaps because I see so many ratings that do not have a single word in them (to me that's just rude), and also see very few hearts given out. I always strive for hearts, and in postcard swaps the only way to do that is to try to find a postcard to fit a profile, to say more than "greetings from", or talk about something somehow relevant to the recipients profile...a shared interest etc.
I would very much appreciate it if you consider giving a heart if you see that heart and caring went into the choosing or filling out of the card coming to you, same as I'd do for you. TIA!
fruity scents other than above
coffee scents
old country and whiney women (no offense, but dolly parton just ain't my kind of thing when it comes to music)
pastel colors
Weird shaped eyelets, for example those where the color doesn't match the shape (there ARE no green clouds or pink giraffes) or where the hole throws the whole thing off
We are a smoking household! I also have a VERY bad sense of smell. So, although I try to keep my crafts clean and fresh, YOU may be able to smell something that I can't. Sometimes it's a blessing (especially when the kids were in diapers LOL), sometimes a curse. A bit of dryer sheet works wonders, I used to stick a piece in each envelope, but nowadays we don't use them so I don't have any. I mostly trade paper goods like ATC's and Postcards so it shouldn't be a big issue, just wanted to be forward about it.

Ahaaa! So you are one to blame others for your addictions. LOL. I only introduce people, they must form a relationship on their own.
I really enjoy Letterboxing, but I am not TOO involved. I did enjoy making a few stamps and should do it more.
Here is the LBNA (Letterboxing Nort America) site. Won't really apply to you but it has good info on getting started:

BTW, my Daughter-in-law just joined the army, and she and my son just received orders to Baumholder, Germany!
Thanks for the comment. It's great to know some of the paper will be useful to you. About yhe hint: I do cut big ones, but sometimes I need really small mailler and I must "rebuild" an envelope from 1/8 big one......... my hands are "both left" snd sometimes I just give-up.... Thanks again, and enjoy!
You know what, I have seen "The Cube" and "Identity". I really like Identity and The Cube was crazy. Good but crazy!! I actually saw Identity in the theaters. It really tripped me out at the end. I didn't expect it at all!!! Now I want to watch it again. :) ^v^
Thanks a lot for the painted face post card from my wishlist for art cards. I agree, it IS art, it's AMAZING art. It's the "how did they do that" kind of art. A definite "keeper."
