I'm a 28 year old professional fine artist residing in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I have a BFA in painting with a concentration on drawing and sculpture.
I mostly work with fine art materials such as oil painting, charcoal drawing, and figure sculpture...
But I also like to experiement with "craft" materials and non-traditional materials such as bones, feathers, synthetic or human hair.
I like dolls, mostly japanese dolls such as kokeshi dolls.
I also like other dolls. Just not the babydoll or porcelain old type dolls that my grandma used to have or really bad crafty folk art dolls.
I'm really interested in human and animal anatomy. I love medical illustrations and text, surgical photography, x-rays, and dental images. A lot of my work is focused on psychological narratives and anxiety. I like visceral, tactile images and materials. Anything that relates to the visceral body.
I also like images of Arctic Landscapes, of frozen landscapes, glaciers, etc. Animals decomposing in the arctic. I'm not interested in waterfalls, mountains, or lakes.
I like images of meat. I've done many still life paintings of meat and like to continue collecting visceral raw meat images. (I don't like images of cooked meats like fried chicken or pork chops).
I'm particularly interested in pictures of animal rib cages. I like taxidermy. I collect animal bones, whole or partial and use them as reference for my artwork.
I am really interested in old black and white photographs and hand-colored photographs. Old family photographs where the people usually aren't smiling. Photographs of older men, and photographs of children, not smiling. (I use these for my psychological narrative drawings/collages about childhood.)
Also images of crows, birds, cats, bunnies, broken chairs, mental institutions, hospitals, striped fabric, pajamas, rural living, rocking chairs, ice cream cones, childhood toys and imagery, old mother goose illustrations, anything nostalgic and ephemeral.
Anything vintage, vintage (tasteful) erotic nudes, letters, wallpaper, stickers, vintage illustrations, stamps, jewelry. etc.
I'm interested in collecting pigs, siamese cats, small dogs (yorkie, maltese, shih tzu), bunnies, hamsters, and squirrels.
I like pin-up art, bettie page, burlesque, Rockabilly styles, etc. Not interested in halloween pirates or cheesy skulls. No fairies or elfs please. I'm not interested in receiving any poetry or recipes.
Artists I like: Lucein Freud, Jenny Saville, Eric Fischl, Balthus, Dorothea Tanning, Jim Dine, Hans Bellmer, Helnwein, de Kooning, and Soutine.
I'm looking to make or reconstruct blank journals and sketchbooks and photo albums. I'm also interested in collecting clocks and/or clock parts for projects. Stencils, stamps, fabric butterflies, feathers, glitter, jewelry, scrap fabric, buttons, canvas, ribbons, fun shapes, hearts, paint markers, etc.
I'm starting to work with jewelry. So any recycled pieces of jewelry, especially interested in vintage, cameos, filigree, marcasite pieces. I'm making jewelry out of polymer clay pieces, metal, photos, wood, and recycled parts. So anything that you think could contribute to the jewelry.
I also like keepsake boxes, candles, bath products, hair accessories, hand made bags, headbands, cosmetics and handmade clothing.
I like the colors baby pink, red, dark red, light blue, white, black, light neutral green, pale yellow, grays, olive green and dark brown. I pretty much appreciate all colors though. I'd prefer not to work wtih neon colors. I love patterns and textures.
I'm interested in large pieces of fabric, so I can incorporate it in my mixed media paintings - mostly as a background. I like vintage patterns a lot. Pretty much any design except for cutesy cartoons, disney characters, solid colors, etc. Flowers, stripes, toile, other designs, etc are fine.
I love the smell of vanilla, freesia, lavender and sugar wafer. I like collecting different kinds of incense and incense holders.
Candy- I like japanese candy (white rabbit and hi chew are my favorites) and any strange candy. I also like dark chocolate and white chocolate. I'll eat almost any kind of candy. I love tea!
I'm not allergic to anything except Mr. Bubbles Bubble Bath (Seriously)
I like suprises and am pretty open to all kinds of materials. Be creative.
I'm really not that picky. I just thought I'd go into detail about my specific interests for anyone that wants to know. I hope my above description helps. :)
I'll try my best to send out items that match your interests listed in your profile(s). Even though I have an interest in nude photography and "gore", I will not send these types of items to you unless you specify that is your interest. I am respectful and will not intentionally send something offensive.
