Description: | |
This is for all of you who like little things and have lots of scraps and remnants you'd like to make stuff with. So, make a little bag, pouch, tote, purse, or whatever you want to call it, and then put something in it just for fun before sending it off. SIZE GUIDELINES: small but large enough to actually hold something, so picture anywhere from a coin purse to a paperback book. Or maybe the size of your hand, how about? MATERIALS: whatever you like to craft with best, as long as it makes a reasonably sturdy little bag. Knitted, felted, crocheted, sewn, beaded, or even woven paper (but note aforementioned "reasonably sturdy"-- so, probably folded strips of magazine pages, like my friend Carrie uses, or something similarly strong). STUFF TO PUT IN IT: that's where you get to play snoop -- I'm allowing plenty of time between signup and send so you can study your partner's profile and send a little something you know they'll like. I am not setting a price here, because it may be crafting supplies you have on hand, or you might go out and buy some candy or other treats, or you might like to send something you made (if your partner is into ATCs, you could send some of those, for example). But this is definitely a swap for cheap people who just enjoy making little things and sending them off to complete strangers! PARTICIPANTS: This is international, newbies are welcome, those with no-sends or ratings below 4.5 will be asked for an explanation, but if you have a plausible one, please do not hesitate to sign up. Newbies are welcome but must have their profiles filled out (the movies/TV shows part isn't important, of course, but the "about me" and "favorite crafts" parts are). The sample image is toward the large end of the size range, at about 4.5 inches deep (11-12 cm), and I just put some random stuff in it for the photo (including a ruler!). This is a knitted, felted mini tote. |
